A glimpse of how the Davao del Norte State College (DNSC) community put preparedness into action during the 3rd Quarter National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) 2026.

From “Duck, Cover, and Hold” to orderly evacuation and emergency response, every moment is a reminder that preparedness starts with practice. 🫡💪

A successful drill made possible through the cooperation of the DNSC community, DNSC Emergency Operations Center/Incident Management Team, and Student Emergency Response Team (SERT).

Together, we practice today to be prepared tomorrow. ❤️

🚨🌏 3rd QUARTER NATIONAL SIMULTANEOUS EARTHQUAKE DRILL 2026🌏🚨

“Duck, Cover, and Hold!”🫡

On September 10, 2026, at exactly 2:00 PM, the Davao del Norte State College (DNSC) community participated in the 𝟯𝗿𝗱 𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗶𝗺𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗲𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗘𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗗𝗿𝗶𝗹𝗹 (𝗡𝗦𝗘𝗗) 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, strengthening awareness, preparedness, and resilience against earthquake hazards.

The activity was successfully facilitated by the DNSC Emergency Operations Center/ Incident Management Team and the Student Emergency Response Team (SERT), with the active participation and cooperation of the DNSC community.

The drill served as an important opportunity for students, faculty, staff, and members of the school community to practice the proper actions to take before, during, and immediately after an earthquake. Through the synchronized ringing of alarms, ex*****on of Duck, Cover, and Hold, orderly evacuation, and other emergency response procedures, participants were able to put preparedness into action and develop the presence of mind needed during an actual earthquake.

Together, we practice today to be prepared tomorrow. 💪

𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦 || 𝗦𝗘𝗥𝗧 𝗢𝗙𝗙𝗜𝗖𝗘𝗥 𝟭𝘀𝘁 𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴

On September 7, 2026, at the DRM Laboratory of Davao del Norte State College, the Student Emergency Response Team (SERT) successfully conducted its 1st Quarter Meeting. The meeting served as an avenue for the officers to discuss important organizational matters and ensure transparency on the financial reports.

The officers also discussed the preparation for upcoming activities and accreditation, addressed various concerns within the organization, and shared updates to strengthen coordination and teamwork. Through this meeting, SERT continues to uphold transparency, responsibility, and commitment in serving its members and the school community.
