[LOOK] Davao Del Norte State College together with Student Emergency Response Team once again participated in the National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) conducted on June 18, 2026 marked the 2nd Quarter. For us, this is not just a drill but a practice for disaster preparedness and resiliency.

The institution's continuous commitment to maintaining an environment of assurance of safety, readiness, and resilience is clearly demonstrated in this policy. By participating in drills like the NSED, puts emphasis on the need of being ready—not just for drills but also for actual situations where being ready might actually make a difference.

BASIC LIFE SUPPORT (BLS) AND STANDARD FIRST AID TRAINING (SFAT) ⛑🩹

The Davao del Norte State College – Student Emergency Response Team (DNSC-SERT), in coordination with the Disaster Risk and Resiliency Action Council (DRAC), successfully conducted a two-day Basic Life Support (BLS) and Standard First Aid Training (SFAT), facilitated by the Emergency and Disaster Search and Rescue Team (EDSART) – PDRRMO Davao del Norte.

The training was attended by a total of 153 participants, composed primarily of new SERT members and representatives from various sectoral organizations, PBO, and LSG of DNSC.

On the first day, participants underwent BLS and CPR proper in the morning, followed by a BLS Return Demonstration in the afternoon. On the second day, the morning session covered Basic First Aid, Bandaging, and Different Types of Carries, while the afternoon focused on Victim Packaging and Simulation Exercise.

The DNSC-SERT extends its sincerest gratitude to DRAC Chairperson Dr. Boyeth Pelone, SERT Adviser Mr. Mark Macabodbod, SERT Officers,
