01.29.2024 | The Tejeros Hall at the AFP Commissioned Officer's Clubhouse in Camp Emilio Aguinaldo, Quezon City, was filled with pride and accomplishment as the Math Olympiads Training League, Inc. (MOTLI) National Awarding Ceremony unfolded on January 21, 2024. Among the stars of the evening was Panabo City National High School (PCNHS), earning accolades for their outstanding performance in prestigious international mathematical competitions.

𝙏𝙤𝙥 𝙋𝙚𝙧𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙎𝙘𝙝𝙤𝙤𝙡 𝘼𝙬𝙖𝙧𝙙

Under the leadership of Principal III Manuel M. Esperanza, Panabo City National High School was bestowed with the esteemed Top Performing School Award for their exceptional performance in two major competitions. The school triumphed in the Guangdong-Hongkong-Macao Greater Bay Area Mathematical Olympiad 2023 Heat Round-Philippines and the Thailand International Mathematical Olympiad 2023 Heat Round-Philippines.

𝙊𝙪𝙩𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙏𝙚𝙖𝙘𝙝𝙚𝙧-𝘾𝙤𝙖𝙘𝙝 𝘼𝙬𝙖𝙧𝙙

Acknowledging the pivotal role of educators in shaping the success stories of students, two exceptional teachers from PCNHS received the Outstanding Teacher-Coach Award. George C. Sebog was recognized for his remarkable coaching in both the Guangdong-Hongkong-Macao Greater Bay Area Mathematical Olympiad 2023 Heat Round-Philippines and the Thailand International Mathematical Olympiad 2023 Heat Round-Philippines. Additionally, Ralph G. Igpit received recognition for his outstanding coaching in the Guangdong-Hongkong-Macao Greater Bay Area Mathematical Olympiad 2023 Heat Round-Philippines.

The commendations extend beyond mere achievements; these outstanding coaches serve as inspirational pillars, guiding students with unparalleled competence and passion for nurturing mathematical prowess. Through their tireless dedication and strategic mentorship, these educators have propelled students to remarkable achievements on the international stage, fostering a deep love for numbers.

𝙏𝙤𝙥 𝙋𝙚𝙧𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝘿𝙞𝙫𝙞𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝘼𝙬𝙖𝙧𝙙

The success of Panabo City National High School also contributed to the recognition of DepEd Panabo City, which was awarded the Top Performing Division Award, further solidifying the city's commitment to excellence in mathematics education.

𝘾𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙩𝙚𝙨𝙮 𝙑𝙞𝙨𝙞𝙩 𝙩𝙤 𝙊𝙄𝘾-𝙎𝘿𝙎 𝙁𝙞𝙧𝙢𝙖𝙣

In recognition of their extraordinary achievements, the champion coaches paid a courtesy visit to OIC-Superintendent Jinky B. Firman, CESO VI. During the visit, Superintendent Firman extended her warm congratulations, expressing gratitude for the dedication of the teachers in nurturing brilliant learners and representing Panabo City in international competitions.

𝙂𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙩𝙪𝙙𝙚 𝙀𝙭𝙩𝙚𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙙 𝙗𝙮 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙈𝙖𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙢𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙘𝙨 𝙎𝙪𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙫𝙞𝙨𝙤𝙧

Carolyn M. Arado, Education Program Supervisor for Mathematics, accompanied the teacher-coaches during the courtesy visit. She expressed gratitude for the achievements and acknowledged the relentless efforts of the coaches in elevating the standard of mathematics education in Panabo City.

The MOTLI National Awarding Ceremony not only celebrated the triumphs of PCNHS but also highlighted the importance of dedicated educators and the collective commitment to fostering a love for mathematics among students. DepEd Panabo City stands tall as a beacon of excellence, with its educators and students making their mark on the international mathematical stage.
