Not just to remove trash from the coastal areas, rivers, and waterways, but also to protect wildlife and give our oceans a chance to breathe. Every piece of trash, and every step matters. Together, we’re making our shores cleaner, our waters safer, and our future brighter.🏝️

This movement has collected millions of pounds of debris, helping shape stronger environmental policies and raising awareness about the impact of plastic pollution. By joining, you’re not just cleaning, but you’re becoming a part of a worldwide effort to protect marine life and ensure healthier waters for generations to come.💙

WORK IN MOTION || MARINE BIOLOGY ON-THE-JOB TRAINING

After the 2nd Semester of academic year 2025-2026, several 3rd year BS in Marine Biology students of Davao del Norte State College went through their on-the-job training at the doors of Mindanao State University - Naawan, Naawan, Misamis Oriental and in Davao del Norte State College - Main Campus Panabo City, Davao del Norte. During these internships, the students learned valuable lessons in laboratory analyses and maintenance, marine resource assessments, and organism preparations in hatchery. Moreover, some students are included in fieldworks with several faculty members, honing their capabilities and skills as future marine scientists.👩‍🔬

On behalf of your Marine Biological Society family, we congratulate you on your completion of Practicum! An achievement that needs to be recognized, a triumph, and enjoyable learning experience!

As stewards of the ocean, we are hoping that you will carry the lessons you have learned during the training and being exposed to different settings as your stepping stone into many doors that ensure the goodness and integrity of not just our marine environment, but also the lives it supports and protects.🌊

The ozone layer is important for the survival of all life on Earth as it protects us from the sun's harmful UV rays. Though, it exist above us, its importance reaches every corner of our planet.

On this International Day for the Preservation of the Ozone Layer, We want to raise awareness about the protection of our ozone layer by continue taking action toward a healthier and more sustainable future. Protecting the ozone layer is not just about protecting the environment; it is about securing the well-being of life and the generations yet to come.

Today, we celebrate World Beach Day by recognizing the importance of beaches as vital ecosystems that support marine life, biodiversity, and communities.

Let this day remind us that protecting our coastlines is a responsibility. By practicing proper waste disposal, reducing pollution, and keeping our beaches clean, this action can lead to a better and to a healthier environment for present and future generations.
