𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐃 || 𝐒𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐎𝐟𝐟, 𝐖𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐏𝐮𝐫𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐞

Not all leaders begin with certainty, some begin with hesitation, and grow through courage. ✨

When I first entered the organization, I started as a Grade 9 Representative and was ready to never go back in the field of leadership. So when the opportunity came again in senior high, I tried to turn down the offer. But looking back now, I’m so glad I took that step, because it led me to people who became more than just companions and officers, they became my space of happiness and fulfillment – a family. 🤍

Then, here comes the responsibilities. Being part of the organization was more than just organizing events. It requires acceptance of countless constructive criticisms, and being accountable if things won’t go according to plan. It meant staying late to finish decorations, showing up even when we were tired after class, and carrying the very pressure of making every program meaningful for the students.

However, behind every sleepless night and every ounce of effort were memories that I will carry with me for a lifetime. Because those moments weren't just successful events that we have implemented, it was a testament of our group's hard work and continuous journey in championing quality service for Don Manuel.

This time, let me say what matters most:

Thank you to the students, for believing in us and trusting our leadership. Thank you to my SSLG family, serving with you was never a duty, it was a privilege and experience that I am truly grateful for. And to our adviser, thank you for guiding us and imparting lessons that we will carry far beyond these halls.

To every student out there, this is your sign. Don’t wait until you feel “ready,” because the truth is — you'll never be.

So, take the opportunity. Speak up. Get involved. Leadership isn’t about being the loudest or the best. It’s about having the heart to serve and the courage to keep going, even when it’s hard.

To conclude, my journey this year made me realize that leadership was never about titles or positions — it was about service to the student community, connection that you build among your colleagues in the group, and leaving something meaningful behind once your term ends.

This may be goodbye to our roles, but never to the memories we built and the purpose we shared. This journey was worth the hassle.

This farewell is not the end, it’s simply passing the torch, hoping the flame continues to burn brighter in the hands of those who come next.

May the next generation of DMAJMNHS SSLG leaders continue to lead with purpose. 🤍
