In The News| SES celebrates WTD 2024

In celebration of the indispensable role the teachers play being the custodians of knowledge, the architects of dreams, the guiding light in the journey of education and the cornerstone of the community and the nation, Salvacion Elementary School celebrated the World Teachersโ€™ Day, October 3, 2024, Thursday with the theme: Empowering Educators: Strengthening Resilience, Building Sustainability.

PTA officials steered a scintillating Zumba exercise during the first part of the activity. The gym was filled with yells and cheers from the SES school children as the teachers really broke it down step by step.

SELG chair, Maโ€™am Carlyn T. Saligumba with the PTA officials spearheaded the culminating program: Teacher Appreciation Day together with her actively participating SELG officers who were the masters of the ceremony during the Part Two of the said event.

Maโ€™am Mylene S. Castillo, Principal III, gave plaques and certificates to the teacher-awardees. Students also expressed their gratitude and appreciation to all teachers through giving of thoughtful gifts, flowers and tokens.

SES also pleased to welcome the 27th Infantry Battalion Charlie Company headed by their Commanding Officer, 1Lt. Adolph Reliezer G. Buendia. They also gave flowers to the teachers as their expression of thanks and appreciation for their dedication and impact to the community.

Soldiers also showcased a static display featuring Special Operating Forces which gave thrill to all who witnessed in the gym.

Leadership and selfless service are the core values that the Army hopes to instill in the minds of SES children.

Also in attendance were Sir Tony Pasquito, Panabo Central District Supervisor and Joshua Edar Rosas, representative of the office of Hon. Jom Relampagos, EdCom chairman, Brgy. Salvacion.

Teachers really play a vital role in making the youth socially conscious individuals and accountable citizens of tomorrow. Their work is a testament of the enduring power of education and the countless lives they have touched and transformed.

It is Escoda Day! ๐ŸŽ‰

Today, we gather to honor the monumental contributions of Josefa Llanes Escoda to womenโ€™s rights and youth empowerment. Her unwavering dedication to the cause of women's suffrage and her selfless efforts in establishing the Girl Scouts of the Philippines have left an indelible mark on our nation's history.

Under the direction of our school principal, Mylene S. Castillo, the Titas and Head Tita of Salvacion Elementary School, Ma'am Miraluz F. Ferraren, and the Girl Scouts of the Philippines, are pleased to honor the 126th birthday of our beloved founder.

At Salvacion Elementary School, the Girl Scouts are paying tribute to our founder through a heartfelt offering of flowers and a token of monetary appreciation, symbolizing our deep gratitude for her invaluable work.

The flowers represent the blooming of her legacy in the hearts of the younger generation, while the token serves as a reminder of the value and importance of her lifelong mission.

As we come together in this act of remembrance, we not only acknowledge the achievements of a national heroine but also renew our commitment to uphold the values she fought for.

Escodaโ€™s life was defined by service, courage, and leadership, and as members of the Girl Scouts of the Philippines, we are called to carry that torch forward, guiding us as we strive to build a better future for ourselves and our communities.

Let this day be a testament to her enduring influence, as we honor her with these tributes, vowing to continue the mission she beganโ€”empowering young women to become active, compassionate leaders in a society that recognizes the strength of womenโ€™s voices and contributions.
