SAFE, RESPECTFUL, AND MOTIVATING: Salvacion Elementary School Intensifies Implementation of DepEd Order No. 006, s. 2026

SALVACION, PANABO CITY – Salvacion Elementary School has strengthened its commitment to promoting a safe, respectful, and motivating learning environment through the strict implementation of DepEd Order No. 006, s. 2026, or the Guidelines on Ensuring a Safe and Motivating Learning Environment (ESMLE).

Under the leadership of Principal II Christy M. Pantonial, the school conducted a comprehensive orientation on the salient provisions of the policy during the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) General Assembly.

Parents and guardians were informed of their vital role in fostering positive learner behavior and in supporting the school's efforts to maintain a safe, inclusive, and child-friendly learning environment.

To further reinforce awareness among learners, Principal Pantonial also personally oriented the Grade 4 to Grade 6 pupils on the provisions of DepEd Order No. 006, s. 2026.

During the orientation, she emphasized the importance of respect, discipline, responsible use of technology, positive behavior, and adherence to school rules.

She also explained the different learner offenses and corresponding disciplinary measures outlined in the policy, highlighting that the Order promotes restorative discipline while safeguarding the rights and welfare of every learner.

The activity reflects Salvacion Elementary School's unwavering commitment to ensuring that every learner enjoys a secure, inclusive, and motivating school environment where respect, accountability, and responsible citizenship are practiced every day.

DepEd Order No. 006, s. 2026 is titled:
"Guidelines on Ensuring a Safe and Motivating Learning Environment (ESMLE)".

The Order establishes policies and standards to ensure that all learners are provided with a safe, inclusive, respectful, and motivating learning environment in all public schools.

Private schools, State Universities and Colleges (SUCs), Local Universities and Colleges (LUCs), and Philippine Schools Overseas (PSOs) are also encouraged to adopt these guidelines.

Key Highlights
• Protection of learner rights by preventing bullying, violence, discrimination, abuse, and other forms of harm.

• Positive discipline is emphasized. Corporal punishment, degrading treatment, and public humiliation of learners are strictly prohibited.

• Safe school environment through strengthened school safety, child protection, and emergency preparedness measures.

• Regulation of cellphone and portable electronic device use in schools, subject to the guidelines provided in the Order.

• Roles and responsibilities of school heads, teachers, learners, parents, and other stakeholders are clearly defined to promote learner welfare.

• Reporting and response mechanisms are established for learner rights and protection concerns.

• Monitoring and compliance are required to ensure faithful implementation in schools.

Under DepEd Order No. 006, s. 2026 (Guidelines on Ensuring a Safe and Motivating Learning Environment – ESMLE), learner offenses are classified into three levels based on the gravity of the act.

The disciplinary measures emphasize restorative discipline, due process, and learner formation, rather than purely punitive sanctions.

Level of Offense Examples of Offenses Disciplinary Action

First-Level (Minor) Offenses
• Use of profane or offensive language
• Classroom disruption
• Sharing fake news or misinformation that causes confusion
• Minor pranks
• Other minor acts that disrupt learning

1st Offense: Written reprimand and written notice to parents.

2nd Offense: Written reprimand and parent/guardian summoned through a Call Slip.

3rd Offense: Suspension of not more than 5 school days with appropriate alternative learning modalities.

Second-Level (Serious) Offenses
• Stalking
• Assault causing slight physical injury
• Theft or stealing
• Intimidation or threats
• Catcalling, sexist, homophobic, or transphobic slurs
• Persistent unwanted sexual comments or gestures

1st Offense: Suspension for 5 school days, parent conference/summon, and referral to the appropriate learner support services (e.g., Guidance or Social Welfare).

2nd Offense: Non-readmission for the succeeding school year, subject to due process.

Third-Level (Grave) Offenses
• Possession or use of illegal drugs
• Possession of fi****ms or deadly weapons
• Sexual assault or grave sexual harassment
• Bomb threats or bomb jokes
• Acts causing serious physical injury
• Other grave acts endangering school safety

These require formal investigation and due process.

Possible sanctions include
exclusion or non-readmission,
referral to appropriate authorities, and,
when applicable, criminal or civil proceedings under existing laws.

SALVACION ES RECEIVES WATER DISPENSER FROM LGU BARANGAY SALVACION, STRENGTHENING SUPPORT FOR QUALITY LEARNING ENVIRONMENT

Salvacion Elementary School expressed its heartfelt gratitude to the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Barangay Salvacion for its generous donation of one (1) Fujidenzo Hot and Cold Water Dispenser, formally turned over on July 24, 2026.

The donation was made through the initiative of Barangay Chairman Hon. Anacleto Plasabas, who was duly represented during the turnover ceremony by Hon. Verlin B. Ordaniza.

The donation was officially accepted on behalf of the school by Principal II Christy M. Pantonial together with Ma. Cristina C. Sagarino, Brigada Eskwela Coordinator.

The donated water dispenser will provide teachers, learners, and school personnel with convenient access to safe hot and cold drinking water, contributing to a healthier and more comfortable school environment.

This meaningful act of generosity reflects the strong partnership between Barangay Salvacion and Salvacion Elementary School in promoting the welfare of the school community and supporting quality education through Brigada Eskwela initiatives.

SALVACION ELEMENTARY SCHOOL STRENGTHENS GULAYAN SA PAARALAN THROUGH BAYANIHAN OF PARENTS AND TEACHERS

SALVACION ELEMENTARY SCHOOL (SES) has intensified the implementation of its Gulayan sa Paaralan Program through the active participation of parents, teachers, and school personnel, showcasing the true Filipino spirit of bayanihan.

Parents from all grade levels voluntarily rendered their time and effort in preparing their designated garden plots under the guidance of their respective class advisers.

Each grade level was assigned specific vegetable crops to plant, ensuring that every garden area is properly cultivated and maintained.

The activity is spearheaded by Gulayan sa Paaralan Coordinator, Mrs. Dalia Galicia, whose dedication and leadership have strengthened the school's efforts in promoting sustainable gardening and food production.

Growing Healthy Minds and Bodies: Salvacion Elementary School Launches Nutrition Month 2026

SALVACION, Panabo City – Salvacion Elementary School officially kicked off its Nutrition Month Celebration 2026, July 6, 2026 with a short but meaningful opening program, reaffirming its commitment to promoting proper nutrition, healthy lifestyles, and overall well-being among learners.

The opening program was hosted by Mrs. Jocelyn Pama and spearheaded by the school's Nutrition Coordinator, Ms. Marivic M. Orboc, who introduced the month-long lineup of activities designed to strengthen nutrition awareness and encourage healthy habits within the school community.

As part of the celebration, the school has prepared a series of engaging and impactful activities throughout the month of July. Among these is the Gulayan sa Paaralan (School Gardening Activity), launched in coordination with School Garden Coordinator Ms. Dalia Galicia.

The initiative aims to instill in learners the value of growing vegetables, promoting food security, environmental stewardship, and healthy eating habits through hands-on gardening experiences.

Another major component of the celebration is the School-Based Feeding Program, led by Feeding Coordinators Ms. Dianalyn J. Cocal and Ms. Gliselle Maureen T. Caminero.

The program seeks to improve the nutritional status of identified learners who are below normal in nutritional assessment by providing nutritious meals and monitoring their progress throughout the implementation period.

To further encourage healthy food choices, the school will conduct the Healthy Baon Challenge, a classroom-based activity that inspires learners to bring balanced, nutritious snacks and meals from home. The initiative promotes the importance of making healthier food choices and developing lifelong healthy eating habits.

Complementing these activities is a Nutrition Information Drive, which will provide learners, teachers, and parents with valuable information on proper nutrition, balanced diets, food safety, and healthy lifestyles through advocacy materials and classroom discussions.

In support of the National Nutrition Month celebration, all teachers are also encouraged to integrate nutrition concepts into their daily classroom instruction.

Stronger Together: SES Holds Successful First General PTA Assembly and Inducts New Officers

Salvacion Elementary School (SES) successfully conducted its First General Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) Assembly on July 4, 2026, at 1:00 p.m., bringing together parents, teachers, stakeholders, and community partners in a meaningful gathering that highlighted collaboration and shared responsibility for quality education.

One of the highlights of the assembly was the Induction of the newly elected General PTA Officers. The induction ceremony was led by Hon. Jose Maria Relampagos, First Councilor of Barangay Salvacion and Education Committee (EDCOM) Chairman. Demonstrating his unwavering support for the school and its community, Hon. Relampagos remained throughout the entire program until the meeting was adjourned.

Barangay Salvacion EDCOM Chair Brings Smiles to Salvacion Elementary School Through School Supplies, Free Haircut and Feeding Program

SALVACION, PANABO CITY – Smiles lit up the faces of learners of Salvacion Elementary School as a meaningful outreach program spearheaded by Barangay Salvacion Education Committee (EDCOM) Chair and Barangay Councilor, Hon. Jose Maria “Sir JomJom” Relampagos donated school supplies, sponsored a feeding activity, free haircut services, and brought inspiration to the school community, 1:00 pm Wednesday, June 17, 2026 at SES Big Gym.

The donated school supplies were formally turned over to the school through the signing of a Deed of Donation, symbolizing the commitment of the barangay leadership to support quality education and the needs of young learners.

“Providing school supplies to our pupils is one way of encouraging them to stay motivated in school and continue pursuing their dreams despite challenges,” Relampagos said in his inspiring message.

Aside from the distribution of educational materials, the beneficiaries also enjoyed a Palugaw Program, where free hot lugaw (rice porridge) was served. The warm meal brought comfort and nourishment to the pupils, creating an atmosphere of joy and camaraderie among the school community.

Pupils were also delighted with free snacks, including bread and popsicles. The simple yet thoughtful treats delighted the pupils, who eagerly lined up to receive their share. Their laughter and excitement echoed throughout the school grounds as they enjoyed the unexpected blessings.

“Ang masasabi ko ay salamat po Sir Jom sa masarap na lugaw. Talagang nabusog po ako. Nakatatlong baso po ako ng lugaw. Hindi po kasi ako nakakain ng tanghalian kasi wala akong baon. Pang almusal pa lang ang nabili na bigas doon sa bahay namin. Thank you po talaga, “ one learner said in an interview.

Adding to the day's activities was a Libreng Gupit ( Free Haircut) Program where learners received free haircuts from volunteer barbers. The service not only helped boost children's confidence and personal hygiene but also prepared them for school with a fresh and near appearance.

The outreach activity was graced by Ms. Joan Relampagos Capuyan, Executive Secretary of the City Mayor, Hon. Jose "Joe" Relampagos together with her staff, showing the local government's continued commitment support for educational and community-based initiatives.

As a gesture of gratitude, school principal, Ma'am Christy M. Pantonial awarded a Certificate of Appreciation to the donor in recognition of his generosity and unwavering support for the learners of Salvacion Elementary School.

Teachers, parents, and pupils expressed their heartfelt thanks for the assistance, which not only provided educational materials and nourishment but also inspired the school community.
