The 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝗠𝗮𝗷𝗼𝗿𝘀 (𝗦𝗘𝗠𝗦) proudly celebrates our 𝗕𝗦𝗘𝗗 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝗦𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗿𝘀 as they take part in their 𝗣𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘆, a meaningful milestone that marks another step toward their future as educators. 🩵

The pinning ceremony is a moment that recognizes the dedication and preparation our seniors have poured into their journey as English majors. It represents the transition from being learners in the classroom to becoming future teachers who will soon guide, teach, and inspire others.

Throughout their years in the program, they have gained knowledge, faced challenges, discovered their strengths, and built experiences that will become valuable as they enter the teaching profession. Every lesson and every experience has helped prepare them for the responsibility that comes with being an educator.

As the Christmas season draws closer and we begin to look forward to the warmth, joy, and togetherness it brings, let us not forget that September is also National Su***de Prevention Month—a time to remember that behind every smile may be a silent struggle, and behind every quiet moment may be a heart asking to be heard.

This month, let us pause and extend our compassion to those who are struggling, grieving, or silently carrying burdens that others may never see. Let us remind them that they are not alone, that their lives matter, and that asking for help is never a sign of weakness.

May we choose kindness over judgment, listening over silence, and understanding over indifference. A simple message, a sincere conversation, or simply being there for someone can mean more than we realize.

As we prepare our hearts for the joy of Christmas, let us also make room for compassion, hope, and care. Let us remember those who are struggling and honor those we have lost by becoming a source of hope for someone who may need it most.
