Why is IMMUNIZATION important in Early Childhood?

Early childhood immunization protects young, developing immune systems from dangerous, life-threatening infections like measles, polio, and whooping cough. Vaccines safely build natural defenses, stop disease outbreaks, and safeguard vulnerable community members through herd immunity.

Why is Free Play Important in Early Childhood?

Free play is unstructured, child-led activity without adult-set rules. It is vital because it builds brain power, teaches problem-solving, fosters social skills, and encourages independence. As noted by UNICEF, this natural style of playful learning lets young kids express who they are.

Why is Supplemental Feeding Program important in Early Childhood?

A supplemental feeding program (SFP) in early childhood delivers extra nutritious hot meals and or milk—often managed via local Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) guidelines—to children aged 2 to 5 in child development centers. It combats undernutrition, boosts cognitive and physical growth, and encourages early school participation.

Why are Carpentry toys important in early childhood?

Carpentry and construction toys help young children grow by building hand strength, hand-eye coordination, and spatial awareness. As kids hammer, measure, and fit pieces together, they learn basic math and science concepts like balance and force while boosting their creative problem-solving skills.

Regular weighing during early childhood is a vital health barometer. It tracks physical growth, detects hidden illnesses or malnutrition early, and ensures proper nutritional intake. Monitoring weight trends on growth charts helps families and doctors spot developmental delays or risks before they become severe.
