Please be advised that upon the recommendation of the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO), afternoon classes at all levels in both public and private schools within the City of San Fernando are suspended today, August 25, 2026.

Why classes are resuming:
• Significant improvement in the weather conditions and flooding situation in the city

HOWEVER: Caluag still grants full discretion to school administrators to implement online or alternative learning setups if dictated by the unique situation of their learners and personnel.

Please be advised that Mayor Vilma Balle-Caluag has ordered the suspension of face-to-face classes tomorrow, August 24, 2026. This covers all levels in both public and private schools.

According to the latest report by the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (CDRRMC), portions of at least 18 barangays in San Fernando are still flooded—ranging from 1 ft. to 3 ft.—and there are also students who reside outside of CSFP's area of jurisdiction, including in nearby areas still affected by flooding.

Given the situation, schools, depending on their respective resources, may continue implementing online or other alternative learning modalities to ensure the continuity of student learning.

Everyone is urged to follow safety guidelines from health and disaster management agencies to avoid risks, as tomorrow's forecast includes cloudy skies, scattered rains, and thunderstorms. Keep these emergency hotlines on hand:

The suspension is due to forecasts that the Enhanced Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) will bring more rain over the City of San Fernando. Caluag's order aims to 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲𝗴𝘂𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀, 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗻𝗼𝗻-𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗹, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗶𝗻-𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗰𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀 from the potential hazards brought about by the severe weather conditions.

📢 EXTENSION OF THE SUSPENSION OF FACE-TO-FACE CLASSES UNTIL AUGUST 19, 2026.

Please be advised that Mayor Vilma Balle-Caluag has ordered the extension of the suspension of face-to-face classes until tomorrow, August 19, 2026. This covers all levels in both public and private schools. ☔

❗With this, tomorrows classes will continue the Online Synchronous Learning via MS Teams. Please coordinate with your subject teacher and always check your eLMS for the activities given. 🖥️

📝 for SHS, Summative Exam 2 will be rescheduled. Regular Online Class will be observed tomorrow.

Please be advised that Mayor Vilma Balle-Caluag has ordered the extension of the suspension of face-to-face classes until tomorrow, August 19, 2026. This covers all levels in both public and private schools.

The suspension is due to forecasts that the Enhanced Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) will bring more rain over the City of San Fernando. Caluag's order aims to 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲𝗴𝘂𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀, 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗻𝗼𝗻-𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗹, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗶𝗻-𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗰𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀 from the potential hazards brought about by the severe weather conditions.

Given the situation, schools may continue implementing online or other alternative learning modalities to ensure uninterrupted learning.
