The College of Technology and Engineering (COTE) will conduct the Screening for Mr. and Ms. COTE 2026 on Monday, August 10, 2026, at 6:00 PM, at the Engineering Office.

Students from the different departments under COTE, namely Industrial Technology, Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Industrial Engineering, are encouraged to participate in the scheduled screening.

The selected candidates will have the opportunity to represent the College of Technology and Engineering in the upcoming Mr. and Ms. PIT.

𝗕𝗜𝗧𝗦 𝗦𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘀 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗹𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗔𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲–𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟳

Earlier today, August 7, 2026, the Bonded Information Technology Students (BITS) successfully conducted its First General Assembly for the Academic Year 2026–2027, bringing together BSIT students of the Palompon Institute of Technology for a meaningful gathering that officially commenced the organization's activities for the school year.

The assembly featured the presentation of the organization's accomplishments, financial report, proposed activities and projects, and the BITS System. Students also heard year-level presentations, met the faculty members and BITS officers, participated in an open forum, and the Special Internship Program (SIP) orientation, providing valuable information and opportunities for the academic year ahead.

The successful conduct of the General Assembly reflects BITS' commitment to promoting transparency, student engagement, and collaborative leadership as it continues to serve and empower the BSIT community.

On August 3, 2026, the Bachelor of Information Technology Society (BITS) officially welcomed BSIT students as Palompon Institute of Technology commenced the opening of classes for Academic Year 2026–2027. The day began with the Flag Ceremony, followed by the Opening Ceremony featuring welcome messages, cultural performances, the Buwan ng Wika launching announcement, and other meaningful activities that marked the official start of the academic year.

Bonded Information Technology Students (BITS) Organization officially welcomed IT freshmen as it opened the First Day of Classes for Academic Year 2026-2027 on August 3, 2026, along a series of activities for new students, including a Holy Mass and a Campus Tour to help freshmen familiarize themselves with the campus.

Classes officially begin on Monday, August 3, 2026. All BSIT students are advised to carefully read and follow the Opening of Classes Guidelines, including the schedule of activities, uniform requirements, grooming policy, security procedures, and other important reminders.

Attendance is mandatory for all year levels. Please wear your official PIT ID and bring a copy of your study load for verification.

Let us all cooperate and observe the guidelines for a safe, orderly, and successful opening of classes. See you on campus!

𝗕𝗜𝗧𝗦 𝗛𝗼𝗹𝗱𝘀 𝗖𝗮𝗽𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗧𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘆

Bonded Information Technology Students (BITS) Organization successfully conducted the Capstone Turnover Ceremony for the capstone project titled “A Web-Based Organization Management System for the Bonded Information Technology Students of Palompon Institute of Technology, Palompon, Leyte” on July 30, 2026, at the ICT Building Laboratory 1.

The system was developed by Alexa Daniel A. Montalban, Cris Dangel, Ailyn S. Boholano, Vincent Elaezah T. Singson, and John Paul S. Ramosa, graduates of the Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT), along with the mentorship of Mrs. Ruby Mary G. Encenzo.

The turnover reflects the graduates’ commitment to innovation and leaves a lasting legacy that will support future BITS officers and members through a more efficient and organized system.
