St. Vincent de Paul: Loving the Poor

St. Vincent de Paul taught us to love and serve the poor because they are our brothers and sisters and, most importantly, they are close to Christ. He called the poor our “masters” because they teach us to be humble, kind, and caring.
Helping the poor is not only about giving money or things. It is also about listening to them, spending time with them, helping them, and making them feel that they are loved and valued.
As Vincentians, we are called to follow St. Vincent’s example by showing kindness and love, especially to those who need our help. Through our simple acts of service, we can become instruments of God’s love and compassion.
