On this Black Saturday, the Catholic faithful enter into a profound silence as the Church commemorates the day when Christ lay in the tomb. It is a solemn pause between the sorrow of the Passion and the glory of the Resurrection—a moment marked not by liturgical celebration, but by prayer, reflection, and quiet hope.

In this sacred stillness, believers are reminded that even in apparent absence, God’s promise remains alive. As Scripture tells us: “Let us hold unwaveringly to our confession that gives us hope, for He who made the promise is trustworthy”
(Hebrews 10:23).

Black Saturday invites the faithful to remain steadfast, to wait with trust, and to prepare their hearts for the joy of Easter. In the silence of the tomb, the light of salvation is already unfolding.

During the Last Supper, Jesus shared bread and wine with His disciples, instituting the Holy Eucharist as a lasting symbol of His body and blood (Matthew 26:26–28). In a striking act of humility, He washed His disciples’ feet (John 13:12–15), showing that true greatness is found in serving others. He also gave a new commandment—to love one another as He has loved them (John 13:34)—a message that continues to define Christian life.

Applicant for the ESC (Educational Service Contracting) subsidy must submit the following documents upon enrollment:
• Recent Identical 2x2 ID Photo (2 copies) and Long White Folder
• 2 Photocopies of PSA Birth Certificate
• Photocopy of Baptismal Certificate
• Photocopy of Grade 6 Report Card (1st to 3rd Quarter Grades)

Saint Mary’s Academy of Palo, Inc. successfully conducted the 1st Quarter National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) on March 12 2026.

The drill tested the community's alertness and efficiency through a well-coordinated response. After performing the standard "Duck, Cover, and Hold," students and staff proceeded to the designated safe zones. In a display of leadership and accountability, the Class Presidents and representatives immediately conducted headcounts and personally reported to our School Principal to confirm that their respective classes were complete and safely gathered.

To ensure no one was left behind, the Supreme Student Council (SSC) Officers conducted a secondary sweep, roaming through all classrooms and facilities to check for remaining individuals and identify any simulated casualties for medical attention.

Through these combined efforts, SMAP reinforces its commitment to the safety and security of every Ignacian Marian. Well done, everyone!
