𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊 | Following the opening remarks at St. Otillien Hall, the President of the SSCTI Psychological Society, Ms. Czarina Mae Aguillos, led a special segment of Psychology Days 2026 and surprised students with a recorded video message from Dr. John Manuel R. Kliatchko, National President of the Psychological Association of the Philippines.

As the head of the country’s leading professional organization for psychologists, Dr. Kliatchko’s message carried national significance. He congratulated the psychology students of St. Scholastica’s College Tacloban Inc. and commended the leadership of the SSCTI Psychological Society, affirming the growing impact of regional institutions in shaping the future of the profession.

He emphasized that excellence “knows no geography,” noting that many board topnotchers come from outside Metro Manila. Stressing both competence and compassion, Dr. Kliatchko reminded students that beyond mastering theory and assessment, psychologists are called to serve communities with empathy and integrity.

He concluded by encouraging students to let Psychology Days 2026 renew their commitment to becoming ethical and service-oriented professionals, rising “para sa bayan.”

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊 | Psychology Days 2026 formally commenced on February 26, 2026 at St. Ottellian Hall of St. Scholastica College Tacloban, Inc., with opening remarks delivered by Dorothy Beatx A. Calo, RPm of the GIYA Wellness Center. Anchored on the theme “Order of the Psyche: Discovering the Power Within the Mind,” the two-day celebration gathered psychology students across all levels to recognize the department’s continued growth and academic solidarity.

In her address, Calo reflected on the program’s modest beginnings, noting that it once consisted of only two sections. “Who would have thought we would reach two days of Psychology Days?” she remarked, underscoring the expansion of the school's psychology community.

She further characterized the event as “a convergence of magical minds,” emphasizing that the discipline’s true power lies in understanding cognitive processes, the unconscious, and human relationships. Stressing collaboration, she reminded students that psychology is a shared academic pursuit across various professional tracks.

“As we officially kick off this Psychology Days, let’s commit to choosing curiosity over judgment” Calo concluded by encouraging excellence grounded in respect and intellectual curiosity, formally declaring Psychology Days 2026 open.
