IN PHOTOS | The Public Safety Basic Recruit Course (PSBRC) Batch 2021-03 MADASIG “MAKABAYAN AT DAKILA SA ISIP AT GAWA” extended donations to Damayang Otso as part of the celebration of its 4th Year Anniversary in public service, held at the Regional Community Affairs and Development Division 8 (RCADD-8) Office, Camp Sec. Ruperto K. Kangleon, Palo, Leyte, on May 19, 2026.

The donation activity highlighted the batch’s spirit of compassion, unity, and volunteerism by providing assistance to the beneficiaries of Damayang Otso, further emphasizing their dedication to meaningful public service and community support.

IN PHOTOS | The Police Regional Office 8 (PRO-8), under the leadership of PBGEN JASON L CAPOY, Regional Director, represented by PCOL MATTHE L ASEO, Chief of Regional Staff, officially concluded the Criminal Investigation Course (CIC) Class 02-021-R8-2025-54 through a closing ceremony at the PRO 8 Multi-Purpose Hall, Camp Kangleon, Palo, Leyte, on November 13, 2025.

A total of 53 personnel successfully completed the course, which was jointly administered by the Regional Investigation and Detective Management Division (RIDMD) and Regional Special Training Unit 8 (RSTU-8).

During the recognition of achievements, the top academic performer were honored with the Academic Excellence Award, Pat Nathalie Grace M Abenoja for being Top 1 of the class who is a sole member of Batch 2021-03 MADASIG, we are incredibly proud of your achievement, but even more proud of the dedication you show to the service. Keep shining, stay safe and continue to lead with excellence. You earned every bit of this honor! Snappy salute, Top 1! 🫡🇵🇭"

CAMP KANGLEON, PALO, LEYTE - The Police Regional Office 8 (PRO-8), under the leadership of PBGEN JASON L CAPOY, Regional Director, held the Joint Closing Ceremony of the Philippine National Police (PNP) Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) Course at the PRO 8 Grandstand on May 4, 2026

Defying all odds, Pat Pegar Melvin B and Pat Jumadiao Rafael B from the Philippine National Police and the sole members of PNP Batch 2021-03 MADASIG to complete the Philippine National Police (PNP) Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) Course.

A total of 94 participants completed the rigorous SWAT training focused on tactical operations, discipline, and teamwork, strengthening the region’s capability to respond to high-risk incidents. The highlight was the SWAT demonstration showcasing Close Quarter Battle (CQB), Bus Assault, and Sedan Assault operations.

That was no small feat, and your resilience throughout the process didn't go unnoticed. Thank you for investing so much effort into training that ultimately elevates our entire class. Your hard work sets a great example for all of us, and we appreciate everything you bring to the class.
