Sultan Kudarat State University–Palimbang Campus, through the Palimbang Oral History Project, will conduct a research presentation webinar titled “𝐔𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐞 𝐁𝐞𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝟏𝟗𝟕𝟒 𝐌𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐛𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐜𝐫𝐞” on 𝐉𝐚𝐧𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝟐𝟖, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 at 𝟖:𝟎𝟎 𝐀𝐌.

This scholarly activity brings together panelists from University of the Philippines - Diliman, University of Southern Mindanao, Mindanao State University -General Santos, and Sultan Kudarat State University, faculty-researchers and speakers from SKSU-Palimbang Campus who will examine the pre-conflict conditions, social and political structures, and external factors that shaped the events leading to one of the most significant tragedies in local history.

The webinar is held in partnership with the 𝐇𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐑𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 𝐕𝐢𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐕𝐢𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐬’ 𝐌𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 (HRVVMC), underscoring a shared commitment to historical truth, memory, and human rights education. As part of the Palimbang Oral History Series 1, the activity aims to deepen public understanding through research-based narratives and community-centered perspectives. Together with the Socio and Cultural Club and the Sports Club, your Student Body Organization proudly led this commitment to transparency. One of the greatest accomplishments any governing body can uphold is true transparency—and today, your 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐁𝐨𝐝𝐲 𝐎𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 together with the 𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐨 𝐂𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥 and 𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐬 𝐂𝐥𝐮𝐛 proved exactly that.

During the General Assembly, the SBO officially presented the PALiksahan 2025 Liquidation Report, with our Socio-Cultural Coordinator, Prof. 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐝𝐚𝐰𝐢𝐞 𝐌. 𝐥𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐧, LPT, delivering a clear and detailed breakdown of all expenses. An open forum followed, where meaningful clarifications, honest answers, and supporting documents were openly shared to everyone present.

This is truly what student leadership should look like—transparent, accountable, and committed to serving with integrity.
