📱 Cellphone Confiscation During Class Hours: Know the Proper Procedure
To help maintain a focused and distraction-free learning environment, the ESMLE Policy (DepEd Order No. 006, s. 2026) provides guidance on how schools should handle cellphone confiscation when learners use their devices during instructional hours.
Here's a quick overview:
✅ 1st Offense – Returned after the subject period
✅ 2nd Offense – Returned at the end of the school day
✅ 3rd and Succeeding Offenses – Turned over to the Office of the School Head and released only to the learner's parent or legal guardian.

Always follow your school's approved procedures and ensure that learners' rights and school policies are observed.
