March 27, 2025- The Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEED) program at Isabela State University (ISU) Palanan Extension Unit led by BEED Program Chair Ms. Mary Jane T. Donato, hosted seminar-workshop β€˜Women in Leadership: Empowering Future Educators, at the ISU Multipurpose Hall.”

Keynote speaker Ms. Karen A. Reyes, Head Teacher III at Palanan School of Agriculture and Trades, highlighted the importance of self-perception in leadership, stating, β€˜You can’t be what you can’t see.’

Meanwhile, Mr. Roger Policarpio, ISU GAD Focal Person, discussed β€˜The Future of Women in Educational Leadership,’ highlighting the need for resilience and balance. He reminded educators, β€˜Taking care of yourself is part of taking care of your students.’”

The seminar inspires future educators to embrace leadership roles with confidence, promoting empowerment and professional growth.

The BEED Program of ISU Palanan conducted a seminar workshop with the topic "Building Safe and Gender Inclusive School" during Gender Sensitivity and Safe Spaces in Schools session in Celebration of National Women's Month held on March 26, 2025 at Isabela State University Palanan Multi-purpose Hall.

The sessions for BEED students focused on Addressing Bullying And Discrimination in School discussed by Ma'am Mary Grace Valerie Asuncion GAD Focal Person of PNHS and Guidance Counselor she emphasized in her lecture that,
"𝑰𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆'𝒔 𝒂 π’ƒπ’–π’π’π’šπ’Šπ’π’ˆ 𝒂𝒏𝒅 π’…π’Šπ’”π’„π’“π’Šπ’Žπ’Šπ’π’‚π’•π’Šπ’π’ 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆 π’˜π’Šπ’π’ 𝒃𝒆 𝒂𝒏 𝒂𝒃𝒔𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝒐𝒇 π’†π’’π’–π’‚π’π’Šπ’•π’š".

Following this, Mr. Roger Policarpio, the GAD Focal Person, delivered an insightful lecture on supporting LGBTQ+ students in education.

The event reaffirmed its commitment to SDG 5 (Gender Equality), SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities) by amplifying the voices of equality to every individuals and promoting deeper engagement in supporting gender equality.

ADVISORY | In reference to the principle of holiday economics following the Holidays this April (April 9 - Araw ng Kagitingan and April 10 - Eid al-Fitr), the Isabela State University will shift to a work-from-home (WFH) scheme on April 8, 2024 (Monday) pursuant to the Memorandum Order no. 66 s. 2024 by the Office of the University President.

Classes and office work in the entire ISU System will resume on April 11 and 12 (Thursday and Friday, respectively). Stakeholders may contact concerned offices through respective emails.
