Pagudpud

Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte is undoubtedly the ultimate tourist destination in the Northern Philippines. Known as the haven of the north, Pagudpud is endowed with unlimited scenic spots, from the long stretch of white sand beaches, majestic waterfalls, breathtaking diving sites, virgin forests, down to natural rock formations. Add to these, the warmth and industry of the people.
With fishing, farming and the ever-growing tourism industry – the town’s primary sources of livelihood, the Kangayedan Festival is a revelation of thanksgiving to God’s marvelous gifts only found in this so-called Paradise of the North.
Kangayedan comes in the form of stylized dance movements featuring a couple showing reverence to God for a great agricultural harvest, abundant catch of marine products and amazingly beautiful and protected natural resources.
