As the first Wellness Center in the Schools Division of Ilocos Norte, Project CARE serves as a beacon of hope and support, ensuring that learners have access to quality guidance and wellness services that foster resilience, positive values, emotional intelligence, and lifelong success.

This milestone was made possible through the visionary leadership and unwavering commitment of 𝐃𝐫. 𝐆𝐥𝐚𝐝𝐲𝐬 𝐀. The Luzong NHS Junior Fire Marshal Team excelled in all three competition events:

Round 2: Hose Laying and Replacement of Busted Hose
Round 3: Bucket Relay

Through speed, precision, coordination, and preparedness, the team outperformed the participating secondary schools to claim the championship title.

Highlighting the program's continuous growth, SF04 𝐊𝐞𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐇𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐥𝐥 𝐂𝐮𝐞𝐩𝐨, Acting Municipal Fire Marshal of Pagudpud, reflected on the progress of the Junior Fire Marshal Program since its implementation last year. 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐌𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬

In a united effort to ensure the safety and well-being of learners, key school stakeholders convened to discuss and formulate enhanced security measures within and around the school premises.

The meeting focused on strengthening existing protocols and implementing additional safeguards. Among the measures discussed was the strict implementation of 𝘋𝘦𝘱𝘌𝘥 𝘖𝘳𝘥𝘦𝘳 𝘕𝘰. 6, 𝘴. 2026, 𝘰𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘎𝘶𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘴 𝘰𝘯 𝘌𝘯𝘴𝘶𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢 𝘚𝘢𝘧𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘔𝘰𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘓𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘌𝘯𝘷𝘪𝘳𝘰𝘯𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵, of which provides for the mandatory inspection of learners upon arrival and the confiscation of prohibited items, among other provisions. Stakeholders also proposed conducting unannounced classroom inspections and enforcing more stringent regulations on learners operating motor vehicles without valid driver's licenses. These initiatives aim to promote a safer, more secure, and more disciplined learning environment for all students.

Attendees included Barangay Captain Arsenio Domingo Jr.; PCpl. Lloyd Louie Bacnis; PCpl. Angel A. Pascua; FPTA President Froilan R. Baltazar; Parent Representative Mrs. Myrah C. Gallardo; Mrs. Abbegail Pearl A. Domingo; SPTA Secretary Mr. Michael John C. Catabay; Guidance Counselor-Designate Mrs. Josie T. Garcia; School DRRM Coordinator Mrs. Margarita Lapaz A. Alonzo; Ms. Zhoraida B. Aringay; and LNHS Security Guard Mr. Felix Garon.

The meeting was initiated through 𝘈𝘥𝘷𝘪𝘴𝘰𝘳𝘺 𝘕𝘰. 91 issued by Schools Division Superintendent Atty. Donato D. Balderas Jr., which enjoined school leaders to collaborate with community stakeholders in ensuring a violence-free environment. Through this collaborative initiative, school and community leaders reaffirmed their commitment to learner safety and well-being, recognizing that the responsibility of guiding and protecting the youth extends beyond the school and into the wider community.

In light of growing concerns about incidents involving young people in various parts of the country, stakeholders emphasized the importance of vigilance, cooperation, and shared accountability. They underscored the belief that ensuring the safety and development of learners is a collective responsibility, affirming that it truly takes a village to raise a child.
