Ryan Sigue, 40 year-old, residing at one of the City's subdivisions and owner of Dauis and Sikatuna cockpit arenas allegedly was in a high-end Tagbilaran City restaurant on Sunday night approximately 3 hours before he was ambushed by unknown assailants.
According to the victim's close relative, the victim allegedly had a meeting inside the high-end resto with an influential businesswoman and a newly proclaimed lady mayor prior to the shooting incident.
Our reliable source believed that this newly proclaimed lady mayor acted as a broker between Sigue and this businesswoman for some business transactions.
The victim's close relative further narrated that he was following the victim who was driving alone his gray Mitsubishi Expander during the incident. He added that a white van started to chase the victim and started to open fire approaching the Cainggit area then turned right towards B. Aquino Avenue, Airport Road.
A lawyer who also live in the vicinity confirmed that he heard continuous gunshots corroborating the claim of Sigue's close relative while several witnesses presumed there were fireworks display.
Authorities recovered 116 empty bullets that made it impossible for the victim to survive.
Sigue's remains will be brought to Biñan, Laguna on Thursday, July 18 for his interment.
