The world today is marked by turbulence and unrest. Wars continue to rage in many countries, leaving millions displaced, traumatized, and searching for safety. Natural disasters, social conflicts, and political strife have created a landscape where fear and uncertainty often overshadow hope. Yet, in the midst of chaos, there are communities that choose to stand together in prayer, unity, and action—reminding us that peace is not just a dream, but a commitment we can uphold, one act of solidarity at a time.

It is in this global context that the JHCSC Pagadian City Extension Campus held “Hiusa Alang Sa Kalinaw: Prayer Rally and Candle Lighting Ceremony for World Peace,” last March 16, 2026, a moment where students, faculty, and organizations gathered to lift their hearts in collective prayer, affirming their commitment to be Ligdong, Lig-on, ug Nahiusa—firm, strong, and united for peace.

And as candles were lit, one by one, darkness gave way to light…and many became one. And truly, even the smallest gesture—a candle, a prayer, a kind word can contribute to the light we bring to our school and beyond.

More than a gathering, Hiusa Alang Sa Kalinaw became a living reflection of unity in action, a reminder that even the smallest light, when shared, can change the world.

Regardless of our differences, whether in beliefs, backgrounds, or opinions—there is one thing we can all agree on:𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗣𝗢𝗪𝗘𝗥 𝗢𝗙 𝗣𝗥𝗔𝗬𝗘𝗥.

In line with updated security measures, please be advised of the following:

1. 𝐌𝐀𝐈𝐍 𝐆𝐀𝐓𝐄 𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐓𝐑𝐈𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 : Entry through the main gate is strictly 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗵𝗶𝗯𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱 for individuals and vehicles without registered DSA stickers. Only vehicles displaying a 𝐯𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐝 𝐃𝐒𝐀 𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐫 are allowed to enter through the main gate.

2. 𝐍𝐄𝐖 𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐑𝐀𝐍𝐂𝐄 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐄𝐗𝐈𝐓 : The entrance and exit point is now located at V. Sagun Street. All students and visitors must use this route for entering and exiting the campus.

3. 𝐈𝐃 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐔𝐍𝐈𝐅𝐎𝐑𝐌 𝐏𝐎𝐋𝐈𝐂𝐘 : Please take note that no ID and no proper uniform, no entry policy remains in effect. All students must comply with the dress code and identification requirements.
