As part of its continuing efforts to strengthen graduate research and scholarly excellence, the JHCSC School of Graduate Studies (SGS) will conduct a two-day Seminar-Workshop on Designing and Writing Mixed Methods and Qualitative Research on July 4–5, 2026, at Chandler Suites, Pagadian City. The seminar-workshop will feature Dr. Leonardo O. Munalim, Dean of the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences at the University of San Jose–Recoletos in Cebu City and Chief Editor of the Recoletos International Journal of Languages and Literature and Recoletos Voices, who will serve as the resource speaker.

Designed as a culminating learning experience within the GS 500 – Graduate Seminar course, this seminar-workshop provides graduate students with the opportunity to engage with contemporary approaches to mixed-methods and qualitative research under the guidance of a distinguished scholar. The activity aims to strengthen participants' research competencies, sharpen their scholarly writing, and refine their research design skills—essential foundations for producing rigorous, relevant, and high-quality educational research. More importantly, it reflects JHCSC's enduring commitment to cultivating a vibrant research culture and to developing competent, research-oriented, and globally responsive graduates whose scholarly work meaningfully contributes to the advancement of education and society.
