Zamboanga del Sur National High School – Senior High School (ZSNHS-SHS) successfully conducted its 1st Session of School Learning Action Cell (SLAC) 1.0 tagged as “Bridging Policy to Practice: Enhancing ILAW Lesson Planning, Three Term Assessment, and PMES Implementation” on July 3, 2026, at 3:45 p.m. at the Altgeld Hall, ZSNHS-SHS. Anchored on the theme, “Equipping Teachers with the Knowledge, Skills, and Confidence Necessary to Implement Reforms,” the session gathered teaching personnel to deepen their understanding of key educational initiatives and promote the effective implementation of updated policies and practices in the classroom.

The SLAC served as a collaborative professional learning opportunity where teachers engaged in discussions on enhancing ILAW Lesson Planning, aligning instructional strategies with the Three-Term Assessment Framework, and strengthening the implementation of the Performance Management and Evaluation System (PMES).

Liana Tumanday, ASSH11 Core Head, discussed the ILAW Lesson Planning Framework. While Johaina Ampuan, Asst. Principal for Academics, headed the engaging discourses on the implementation of the Performance Management and Evaluation System. Then Jie Ann Paredes, SLAC coordinator, ended the session with some further announcements.

The activity reaffirmed ZSNHS-SHS’s commitment to continuous professional development by fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence among educators. As teachers continue to embrace educational reforms, the school remains steadfast in empowering its faculty with the competencies and confidence needed to deliver responsive, learner-centered, and future-ready education.

𝗭𝗦𝗡𝗛𝗦–𝗦𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗛𝗼𝗹𝗱𝘀 𝗜𝘁𝘀 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗣𝗧𝗔 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗹𝘆

On June 27, 2026, from 8:00 to 11:00 a.m., Zamboanga del Sur National High School–Senior High School successfully conducted its first-ever General School Parents and Teachers Association (SPTA) Assembly at the ZSNHS-SHS Building B Ground. The gathering brought together parents, teachers, school officials, and stakeholders in a meaningful dialogue aimed at strengthening home-school partnerships and promoting shared responsibility in supporting learners' academic success and holistic development.

The different agenda include SOSA (State Of School’s Address), Turn-Over Ceremony of SPTA 2025-2026 to SPTA 2026-2027, presentation of the new set of officers, and planning for this academic year, among others.

The assembly served as a venue to discuss important school programs, policies, and upcoming activities while encouraging active parental involvement in achieving the school's goals. Through open communication and collaboration, the event reinforced the vital role of parents and educators in creating a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment, marking a significant milestone in the continued growth of the ZSNHS–Senior High School community.

This July 2026, join us in celebrating the 52nd Nutrition Month with the theme:
✅ Main Theme: “Sa PPAN, Sama-sama sa Nutrisyong Sapat Para sa Lahat”
✅ Sub-theme: “Nutrisyon at Kalikasan, Ating Pangalagaan”

Who can join?
All learners aged 16–18 years old enrolled in our school.

Those who wish to join: Please approach Sir Reymart Degamo.

Goal: Showcase creativity and raise awareness on proper nutrition, food systems, environmental protection, and climate action.

Submission: Each student may send up to 2 entries on or before June 26, 2026.

The spirit of Bayanihan continues as Brigada Eskwela 2026 enters its second day. Enrollment activities remained in full swing as parents and learners continued to visit the school to secure their registration for the upcoming school year.

A highlight of the day was the visitation of our esteemed barangay officials, whose presence and generous donations reaffirmed their unwavering support for education and school improvement. Their contribution serves as a testament to the strong partnership between the school and the community in creating a safe, inclusive, and conducive learning environment for all learners.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our barangay officials and all stakeholders for their kindness, generosity, and commitment to helping our school prepare for another successful academic year.
