Pagsci International Exchanges seek to share stories and experiences... Consequently, the Pagsci Volunteersโ Program (PVP) was conceived. PROGRAM OBJECTIVES

Pagsci Volunteersโ Program or PVP is a special program in Pagadian City Science High School intended for students who are unified by common ideal and goal to create positive change in the community through proactive civic engagement and voluntary service. It is spearheaded by the PCSHS-Supreme Student Government in partnership with the Office of the School Principal and the General Parents Teacher
s Association (GPTA). RATIONALE
Accordingly, the K to 12 Curriculum envisions the development of scientifically, technologically, and environmentally literate and productive members of society who are critical problem solvers, responsible stewards of nature, innovative and creative citizens, informed decision makers, and effective communicators. Relative to this, the Pagadian City Science High School has been striving to provide diverse and relevant learning opportunities among its learners through updated learning materials, effective and efficient use of educational technologies, and well-rounded teaching human resources. The institution believes that providing real-life learning experience among learners is very significant also in order to maximize the learnersโ potentials to acquire the 21st century skills. The program was inspired by the great voluntary works of the Feed em soup program in DeKalb, the Feed My Starving Children in Aurora, and the Northern Lights Ambassadors of Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Illinois, USA. GOAL
PVP strives to create meaningful undertakings on civic responsibility, ecological activism and youth empowerment among student-volunteers for them becoming true agents of positive change in school and community. To design and implement programs anchored on civic responsibility, ecological activism and youth empowerment.
2. To inculcate the true spirit of volunteerism and civic engagement among student-volunteers.
3. To hone the communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills of the student-volunteers.
4. To partner with community leaders, agencies and stakeholders and organization working on ecological activism, civic responsibility and youth empowerment. PROGRAMS
Project SeaCare believes that taking care of the quality of seawater and coastal lands to maintain biodiversity and survival of marine organisms is tantamount to helping the residents Barangay San Pedro, Pagadian City sustain their basic needs.This initiative aims to design doable and practical solution for coastal and seawater caring of Barangay San Pedro, Pagadian City. Specifically, it seeks to conduct scientific assessment of seawater quality within the area; to engage with the residents, local officials and other stakeholders through series of relevant environmental undertakings; and to develop community activism and environmental stewardship among students of Pagadian City Science High School.
