Headquarters Support Group — A hands-on Demonstration on Rule 113 and Basic Disarming and Arresting Techniques lead by Prac. Intern Rheyvan Ebal was successfully carried out, showcasing the skills, discipline, and readiness of our Criminology Interns. This activity highlights the importance of proper procedure and tactical competence in real-life law enforcement situations, strengthening both knowledge and practical application in the field.

A successful Community Immersion project Evaluation and Assessment/ Defense was conducted by the Criminology Interns – Special Operations Group following their recent immersion activities Through this initiative, the interns successfully presented the results of their field exposure and also demonstrated their commitment to community service by conducting educational lectures for the residents.

This achievement would not have been possible without the guidance and supervision of PCOL. Chamer G. Lacay, Training Head of the Criminology Internship Training Unit, his leadership continued to shape competent future criminologists. We also extend our sincere appreciation to Sir Jessrel Fuentivilla, Dean of the College of Criminology and one of the panel of evaluators, together with Sir Nilo Mondido, Sir Christian Reyes, and Sir Cornelio Paman, for their valuable insights, constructive evaluations, and support throughout the defense.

Our deepest gratitude as well to the School President, Mr. Tagumpay B. Santiago, for his continued encouragement and support to the Criminology Internship Program.

Participation in Fire Prevention Month Activity

At about 0600H of March 3, 2026, the Criminology Interns of Pagadian Capitol College – Special Operation Group (MASID-LAHI) participated in the Fire Prevention Month activity conducted by the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) at Taclobo Stage, Plaza Luz, Pagadian City at about 0600H.

The activity was attended by nineteen (19) practicum interns as part of their exposure and participation in community-based public safety programs. The event aimed to raise awareness among the public regarding fire prevention, preparedness, and safety measures to minimize fire-related incidents within the community.

The said participation of the interns was conducted under the supervision of PCOL CHAMER G. LACAY (RET) and spearheaded by Sir Tagumpay B. Santiago, who ensured the interns’ active involvement and proper coordination during the activity.

The activity highlighted the importance of cooperation between government agencies, volunteers, and the community in promoting fire safety awareness and strengthening fire prevention efforts in line with the observance of Fire Prevention Month.

𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦 || CLEAN-UP DRIVE AND TREE PLANTING IN MANGA FALLS

On February 16, 2026, PCC CITU interns, under the supervision of CITU Practicum Instructor PCOL Chamer Gloria Lacay (ret) and led by PRAC LTCOL Limuel Aliñabon, conducted a clean-up drive and tree planting in coordination with Hon. Robert Pimentel, Committee on Health and Hon. Pio Bustamante Committee on Clean and Green in Barangay Manga, Pagadian City.

Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur – February 6, 2026 — The Pagadian Capitol College (PCC) Criminology Interns, organized under the Public Safety Group (MASID-LAHI), successfully conducted their second community immersion program through a collaborative partnership with Barangay Dao, led by Barangay Captain Hon. Mary Jane Duhilag Saranillo, and the Zamboanga del Sur Provincial Government College–Pagadian Campus.

The activity was implemented under the administrative guidance of School President Mr. Tagumpay B. Santiago and the technical supervision of PCOL Chamer Gloria Lacay (Ret.), Practicum Instructor. The program was carried out in accordance with the specialized Plan of Instruction (POI) developed by PRAC LTCOL Rey Neil S. Orbeta.

The immersion program primarily focused on a Road Clearing (Waste) Operation within the jurisdiction of Barangay Dao. The Criminology interns actively participated in the removal of improperly disposed waste and obstructions along roads and public spaces to ensure cleanliness, safety, and the efficient flow of vehicular and pedestrian traffic. This initiative aimed to promote environmental responsibility, public order, and community well-being.

In addition, a symposium on Human Rights–Based Policing and Leadership was conducted to enhance participants’ knowledge and awareness of ethical law enforcement practices. The symposium emphasized the importance of respecting human dignity, strengthening public trust, and promoting principled leadership in the performance of public safety duties. The activity served as a platform for reinforcing professionalism, accountability, and responsible decision-making among future law enforcement practitioners.

The successful completion of this community immersion program underscores PCC’s commitment to producing competent, ethical, and community-oriented Criminology graduates who are ready to serve with integrity and uphold the highest standards of public safety.

On January 28, 2026, the Pagadian Capitol College – Criminology Interns Peace and Order Group (MASID-LAHI) successfully conducted its first community immersion activity in collaboration with Barangay Manga, under the leadership of Barangay Captain Alexander J. Viña.

This activity was carried out through the Plan of Instruction established by PRAC LTCOL Limuel Aliñabon, under the esteemed leadership of PCOL Chamer Gloria Lacay (ret), Training Head, with the full support of the school administration headed by Mr. Tagumpay B. Santiago, School President.

The initiative primarily focused on sharing knowledge and enhancing the capabilities of Barangay Tanods through a lecture on Rule 113 of the Revised Rules of Criminal Procedure, particularly on lawful arrests, complemented by practical demonstrations of proper arresting and disarming techniques. These activities aimed to promote correct legal procedures and ensure a safer and more secure environment within the community.
