The long-awaited journey toward academic excellence has officially commenced as the Student Study Group Program (SSGP) successfully launched today at Room 301, Annex Building, bringing together JPIAns in a shared commitment to learning, collaboration, and growth.
The program formally opened with an invocation led by Ms. Sarah Linian, Standing Committee for Culture and Arts, setting a reflective tone for the beginning of this academic endeavor. This was followed by the welcome remarks of Mr. Mark Joshua A. Maraรฑa, Vice President for Academics, who officially welcomed the participants and underscored the value of collaborative learning in fostering academic excellence.
An inspiring message was then delivered by Sir Christian Lloyd Rivera, CPA, MSA, emphasizing the significance of the Student Study Group Program as an avenue for strengthening academic foundations, promoting discipline, and preparing future Certified Public Accountants through consistent learning and peer collaboration.
The launch also featured the presentation of the Accounting Major subjects that will be covered throughout the program, namely Financial Accounting and Reporting (FAR), Conceptual Framework and Accounting Standards (CFAS), Intermediate Accounting 2 (IA2), Financial Management 1 (FINMAN1), and Strategic Cost Management (STRATCOST). Alongside this, the designated student teachers for each subject were formally introduced, marking the beginning of a collaborative learning environment where JPIAns learn with and from one another.
The successful launch concluded with a photo opportunity, commemorating the opening of a new chapter where preparation transforms into progress, collaboration nurtures excellence, and every lesson brings future CPAs one step closer to their aspirations.
