The long-awaited journey toward academic excellence has officially commenced as the Student Study Group Program (SSGP) successfully launched today at Room 301, Annex Building, bringing together JPIAns in a shared commitment to learning, collaboration, and growth.

The program formally opened with an invocation led by Ms. Sarah Linian, Standing Committee for Culture and Arts, setting a reflective tone for the beginning of this academic endeavor. This was followed by the welcome remarks of Mr. Mark Joshua A. Maraรฑa, Vice President for Academics, who officially welcomed the participants and underscored the value of collaborative learning in fostering academic excellence.

An inspiring message was then delivered by Sir Christian Lloyd Rivera, CPA, MSA, emphasizing the significance of the Student Study Group Program as an avenue for strengthening academic foundations, promoting discipline, and preparing future Certified Public Accountants through consistent learning and peer collaboration.

The launch also featured the presentation of the Accounting Major subjects that will be covered throughout the program, namely Financial Accounting and Reporting (FAR), Conceptual Framework and Accounting Standards (CFAS), Intermediate Accounting 2 (IA2), Financial Management 1 (FINMAN1), and Strategic Cost Management (STRATCOST). Alongside this, the designated student teachers for each subject were formally introduced, marking the beginning of a collaborative learning environment where JPIAns learn with and from one another.

The successful launch concluded with a photo opportunity, commemorating the opening of a new chapter where preparation transforms into progress, collaboration nurtures excellence, and every lesson brings future CPAs one step closer to their aspirations.

To the JPIAns who stand at the threshold of knowledge,

The hour of awakening has yet to arrive.

The gates of the Student Study Group Program (SSGP), once destined to open today, shall remain sealed for a little while longer. Though the beginning of this journey has been postponed, the pursuit of growth and excellence remains steadfast.

Every meaningful quest requires the right moment, and every great undertaking deserves the preparation it needs. Before the first chapter unfolds and the path ahead is revealed, the foundations must be strengthened to create an experience worthy of every JPIAnโ€™s pursuit of knowledge.

The gates shall finally open tomorrow, July 15, 2026, from 12:00 NN to 1:00 PM, as the Student Study Group Program (SSGP) officially begins its journey toward collaborative learning, academic growth, and excellence.

Until then, may curiosity remain alive, determination remain unwavering, and the desire to learn continue to burn brightly.

The journey has not endedโ€”it awaits its destined hour.

The JPIA CVCITC Local Chapter successfully conducted the BSA Welcome Program on June 27, 2026, warmly welcoming the incoming first-year, transferee, and bridging students to the Accountancy Family.

The program formally commenced with an invocation led by Ms. Sarah Jane R. Linian, Standing Committee for Culture and Arts, followed by the singing of the National Anthem and the CVCITC Hymn through an audio-visual presentation. JPIA Local Chapter President, Mr. Rodolfo V. Pertudo Jr. delivered the welcome remarks, while Dr. Mark M. Sotto, LPT, MBA, Academic Dean of the College of Business and Accountancy, inspired the students through his message.

To acquaint the freshmen with the organization, Ms. Princess Oriel B. Castillo, Executive Vice President, together with Ms. Zhunia Lae A. Ramos, Vice President for Culture and the Arts, introduced the JPIA organization, its officers, standing committees, adviser, and accountancy instructors. This was followed by inspiring messages from the accountancy faculty, Sir Christian Lloyd A. Rivera, CPA, MSA, and Sir Ruel M. Dela Cruz, CPA, MBM, MPM, who shared valuable advice and encouragement for the students.

Selected JPIA officers also shared their personal experiences as accountancy students. Ms. Kris Ann Joy R. Ronquillo, Vice President for Finance, Ms. Mark S. Barnedo, Standing Committee for Media and Communications, Ms. Catherine Palpallatoc, Standing Committee for Membership, Ms. Hannah Bea C. Amigo, Vice President for Communications and Ms. Princess A. Anudon, Vice President for Games and Sports reflected on their academic journeys, challenges, and lessons learned to motivate the newest members of the program.

An engaging introduction activity followed, facilitated by Ms. Rose Lean Athena L. Mique, 4th Year Representative and Ms. Hannah Bea C. Amigo, where the first-year, transferee, and bridging students were divided into groups of five and introduced themselves before everyone. To make the activity more interactive and exciting, a yarn-cutting challenge served as a creative timer, encouraging each group to confidently introduce themselves within the allotted time while fostering camaraderie among their fellow students.

The program also featured the election of the First-Year Representatives, facilitated by Mark Joshua A. Marana, Vice President for Academics. Congratulations to our newly elected First-Year Representatives, Vanessa Regalado and Sofhia Monic Corneta! May your leadership inspire your fellow freshmen and strengthen the spirit of service and excellence within the organization.
