A proud moment for the La Salle University research community. Today, we celebrate the induction of Dr. Daryl F. Quinco as an Associate Member of the National Research Council of the Philippines (NRCP), Division VIII โ€“ Social Sciences, marking another milestone for LSUโ€™s growing presence in the national research community.

Strengthening research culture for the future of Catholic education, the Catholic Educational Association of the Philippines (CEAP) held the Research Capacity Building through Institutional Partnerships and Joint Research Presentation and Publication at Sacred Heart School โ€“ Ateneo de Cebu, on March 03-05, 2026.

Representing La Salle Universityโ€“Ozamiz, Dr. Cathy W. Maghamil, SGS Dean; Dr. Carousel B. Tagaylo, Research Director; and Mr. John Mark N. Saldivar, Chair of the Research Ethics Board, participated in the program as mentors in CEAPโ€™s research capacity building initiative. Together with other mentors from private HEIs, they guided and supported participants from various private Catholic basic education institutions across the Visayas and Mindanao, helping strengthen their competencies in research development, presentation, and publication.

Through partnerships and shared scholarship, Catholic basic education in the Philippines can build stronger evidence-based programs, empower teachers as researchers, and nurture schools that are not only faith-centered but also intellectually vibrant and socially responsive.

Together, we continue to strengthen a research-driven community committed to forming learners who will serve both the Church and the nation. ๐Ÿ“šโœจ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ญ
