No research yet has been made about the creation of the Labo National High School. But it was sometime in 1965 when the first batch of First Year students were enrolled for the school year 1965-66. Then in 1966 no second year class was opened, only first year class who became the first graduates of the then Labo Barrio High School. This school shared the elementary school building as there were only two (2) classes in high school. First year and second year classes only.
After several years, the school became Labo Barangay High School then no it is known as Labo National High School.
Another good description of the school is not accurate but very near to its accuracy.
During the time when Mrs. Jovita Balcita-Saquin was the principal, Labo National High School was known of producing a national winner in essay writing contest in the person of April Reed Badong. She was awarded a trip to Korea and a few weeks stay in said country. She had foster parents there. Now, according to some information, she is already working in a korean school in Ortigas Center, Pasig City.
Aside from April Reed Badong, there were also some winners which this author wished that said information will be shared by members of the LNHS Alumni in order for all facebookers/members of the group to know how good the training of the school is.
About the school building, it is of public notice, that it was during the administration of Mrs. Saquin that a student friendly school building was constructed. It is located at around 300 meters from the central school.
