Most especially, to our Agency Field Supervisor, Maโ€™am Rosalie A. Conol, RSW, MSSW words are not enough to express our gratitude. Your guidance went beyond supervision; you molded us into better individuals equipped with the knowledge, skills, and values essential to our profession. You taught us resilience, professionalism, and the realities of service. Because of you, we grew not only academically but also personally, gaining confidence and a deeper understanding of our role in the community.

We also thank Maโ€™am Helen Dela Cruz and Maโ€™am Menchie Petiluna for their presence and support, as well as Maโ€™am Emilyn C. Villarta, Womenโ€™s President of Sta. Maria Tangub City, for your support and collaboration in making this milestone meaningful.

โ€ŽFrom September to October 2025, we, the CSWD Tangub City Social Work Interns of Misamis University, successfully conducted 10 meaningful group work sessions and a culmination activity each one filled with learning, growth, and shared humanity.

โ€ŽWe extend our deepest gratitude to BJMP Tangub City Jail, formerly headed by JSINSP Shiela Conol, for warmly welcoming us and granting us the opportunity to carry out our sessions. Your trust and openness created a safe and supportive space where genuine transformation could begin.

โ€ŽTo our dear Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) Team Handsome Boys, thank you for your active participation, cooperation, and willingness to open your hearts to us. Your courage in sharing your stories, your honesty in expressing emotions, and your commitment to personal growth inspired us beyond words. You reminded us that hope and dignity remain alive despite lifeโ€™s challenges and that change is always possible.

โ€ŽTo our school field supervisor, Maโ€™am Kasey Jane Banci-Buac, RSW, MSSW, thank you for your unwavering support, guidance, and encouragement throughout our journey. Your insights helped shape our confidence and competence in facilitating each session.

โ€ŽTo our college dean, Dr. Haydee D. Villanueva, and our program head, Maโ€™am Winnie A. Bhagwani, RSW, MSSW, we are deeply grateful for your approval, trust, and support in allowing us to implement this intervention. Your belief in our capabilities empowered us to put theory into practice and serve with purpose.

โ€ŽMost especially, to our beloved agency field supervisor, Maโ€™am Rosalie A. Conol, RSW, MSSW thank you for being the foundation of our learning. From conducting workshops that equipped us with essential skills and techniques in group work to patiently guiding us through every challenge, you have shaped us into more capable and compassionate future social workers. Your lessons, mentorship, and constant support will always stay with us as we continue this journey.

โ€ŽTo my Co-Tangub Interns despite all the hardships, stress, and differences we encountered, we stood strong and chose to remain united. As Maโ€™am Gang said, "Diri manggawas inyohang mga batasan,โ€ and indeed, we saw each otherโ€™s strengths and flaws but more importantly, we chose understanding, acceptance, and love. Through everything, we became not just a team but a family.

โ€ŽHereโ€™s to us, girls congratulations for your resilience, dedication, and heart. We made it through every challenge, and we grew stronger together. This journey may not have been easy, but it was all worth it. ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿค

The JSWAP successfully conducted a seminar on โ€œStrengthening Families through Positive and Effective Parentingโ€ for the parents of Barangay Sebasi, Clarin ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿ‘งโ€๐Ÿ‘ฆ. This meaningful activity aimed to equip parents with knowledge, skills, and values essential in raising children with love, discipline, and understanding.

The seminar highlighted important topics such as responsible parenting and the duties and responsibilities of parents. Through interactive discussions and group activities, participants were able to share ideas and reflect on their roles in nurturing their childrenโ€™s growth and well-being. The speaker also emphasized the importance of meeting childrenโ€™s needs and building strong family relationships grounded in care and respect.

One of the key messages shared during the seminar was that parents should use their hands for love and protection, not for harm. Discipline, while necessary, should always be guided by understanding, communication, and proper care, fostering trust and positive development among children.

The JSWAP extends its sincere gratitude to the individuals who contributed to the success of this seminar: Hon. Robert L. Calib-og, Barangay Captain of Sebasi, Clarin; Ms. Apple Jane M. Abenido, RSW, MSSW, our resource speaker; Mrs. Winnie A. Bhagwani; and all the organizers and participants whose support and cooperation made this activity possible.
