PABASA Activity Orientation at OCCS 📖✨

On August 3, 2026, the Field Study (FS) student teachers of Misamis University, together with our adviser, Ms. Winlove Jobelle Generalao, attended the PABASA Activity Orientation at Ozamiz City Central School (OCCS).

We were warmly welcomed by Mr. Eugenio C. Bucog, the school principal, and guided by Mrs. Ammie Ogao-ogao as we learned about our schedules, assigned grade levels, and responsibilities for the upcoming reading sessions. The orientation and school tour helped us better understand the learners we will be working with and prepared us for this meaningful experience.

This activity reminded us that being a future teacher requires patience, commitment, cooperation, and compassion. We look forward to helping learners strengthen their reading skills and making a positive difference in their learning journey. ❤️📖

Nutrition Month Celebration 2026 🍎✨

On July 31, 2026, the College of Education celebrated Nutrition Month with joy, unity, and enthusiasm! Students from 1st year to 4th year, together with our honorable faculty members, came together to promote the importance of proper nutrition and a healthy lifestyle.

From showcasing nutritious Go, Grow, and Glow foods to enjoying the fun-filled game “Eh Ikaw?”, the celebration was filled with creativity, teamwork, laughter, and camaraderie. Everyone also captured beautiful moments through photos, creating memories that will be cherished.

More than just a celebration, the event reminded us that healthy food, teamwork, friendship, and unity all contribute to a healthier and happier community.

FS Orientation: Preparing Us for Our Field Study Journey ✨📚

On August 5, 2026, the pre-service teachers of Misamis University gathered at the College of Education for the Field Study (FS) Orientation, preparing us for our upcoming deployment in our cooperating schools.

Through inspiring messages, valuable reminders, and an open forum, we gained a clearer understanding of our responsibilities as future educators. We were reminded to be punctual, responsible, respectful, prepared, and professional, while remaining open to learning from every experience.

This orientation strengthened our confidence and motivation to face our Field Study journey with dedication and a positive attitude. As we take our first steps into the school setting, may we continue to learn, grow, and serve with purpose. 👩‍🏫👨‍🏫💙

On August 4, 2026, the 4th Year Education students of Misamis University gathered at Room HF207 for the election of the new Experiential Learning Course (ELC) Officers for S.Y. 2026–2027.

Through active participation, responsible voting, and teamwork, the students chose their representatives who will lead and serve the ELC community. The activity highlighted the values of leadership, integrity, commitment, teamwork, and service. 🤝📚

College of Education Conducts Summer LET Review Program to Prepare Future Educators

Anchored on the College of Education’s commitment to academic excellence and quality teacher education, the Summer Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) Review Program was conducted from June to July 2026 to provide comprehensive preparation for graduating students and aspiring LET examinees. The initiative was designed to strengthen participants’ mastery of the core areas of the licensure examination, enhance their test-taking strategies, and build the confidence needed to succeed in the teaching profession.

The review program featured comprehensive review sessions facilitated by College of Education LET passers who shared their experiences, effective review techniques, and practical advice to inspire future educators. Participants also benefited from online lectures delivered by distinguished national reviewers, Dr. Felina Espique, Dr. Maria Rita D. Lucas, Dr. Milagros L. Borabo, and Dr. Brenda B. Corpuz, whose expertise in professional education enriched the learning experience through insightful discussions, practical strategies, and motivational guidance.

The successful implementation of the program provided participants with enhanced academic preparedness, improved confidence, and a deeper understanding of the competencies required in the Licensure Examination for Teachers. Through the collaborative efforts of faculty members, alumni, LET passers, and nationally recognized education experts, the College of Education reaffirmed its dedication to producing competent, committed, and highly qualified future educators. The initiative further strengthened the college’s culture of excellence while increasing the readiness of its graduates to achieve success in the licensure examination and embark on meaningful careers in the teaching profession.

The College of Education of Misamis University warmly welcomed its freshmen on July 27, 2026, through a fun-filled orientation activity held at the CED Tambayan/Mini Pergola.

Organized by the fourth-year students, the event featured exciting games, prizes, and a photo booth that created a lively and friendly atmosphere for the new members of the CED family.
