February is known as the month of love. Just a few days ago, we celebrated Valentineโs Day โ a season filled with flowers, sweet messages, and expressions of affection. But beyond the romance and celebrations, February also reminds us of something deeper โ the condition of our hearts.
Because not all hearts are celebrating.
Some hearts are healing.โค๏ธโ๐ฉน
Some hearts are broken.๐
Some hearts are silently struggling.๐ค
And it is during these vulnerable moments that a person becomes most tempted to choose harmful habits โ to escape pain through illegal drugs, to seek belonging through hazing, or to release emotions through reckless behavior on the road.
But today, we are here to declare something powerful:
Even a broken heart should never lead to a broken future.
Being heartbroken is never a reason to destroy your body with drugs.
Feeling rejected is never a reason to accept hazing just to belong.
Experiencing pain is never a reason to drive carelessly and risk your life or the lives of others.
Our theme, โHeart Over Habits,โ is a reminder that no matter how hurt, angry, or lost we may feel, we must always choose wisely. We must allow our hearts to guide us toward healing โ not harm.
This Drug-Free Youth Forum, Anti-Hazing Campaign, and Road Safety Symposium is more than just a program. It is a reminder that self-love is protection. Self-respect is strength. And real courage is choosing discipline over destruction.
Today, we stand together to say:
We choose awareness over addiction.
We choose dignity over violence.
We choose safety over recklessness.
We choose heart over habits.
Because every heart โ even a broken one โ deserves a safe, hopeful, and purposeful future.
