Last September 10, 2025, the Human Rights Club officers of Batuan-Cadinglian National High School actively participated in the Su***de Prevention Day organized by the Local Government Unit of Oton through the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) headed by Mrs. Anna Marie S. Delgado, MGDH I.

Held at the Oton National High School Training Center, the activity carried the theme “Changing Narrative on Su***de.” The session was highlighted by a talk from Ms. Shaira Marie D. Jopson-Espinosa, faculty member of the Psychology Department of the University of San Agustin, who emphasized su***de awareness and the importance of valuing life—reminding everyone that every life matters.

Batuan-Cadinglian National High School actively participated in the 𝙇𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚𝙨 𝙤𝙣 𝙎𝙚𝙭𝙪𝙖𝙡 𝘼𝙗𝙪𝙨𝙚 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙀𝙭𝙥𝙡𝙤𝙞𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙤𝙛 𝘾𝙝𝙞𝙡𝙙𝙧𝙚𝙣 (𝙊𝙎𝘼𝙀𝘾) 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝘾𝙝𝙞𝙡𝙙 𝘼𝙗𝙪𝙨𝙚 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙀𝙭𝙥𝙡𝙤𝙞𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙈𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙖𝙡𝙨 (𝙂𝙎𝘼𝙀𝙈) organized by the Local Government Unit of Oton in collaboration with the Oton Human Rights Club. Held on December 5, 2024, at Villa Azul Beach Resort, Brgy. Pob. South, Oton, Iloilo, the event aimed to raise awareness and educate participants on critical issues affecting children. BatCadNHS proudly joined this initiative, demonstrating its commitment to promoting child safety and human rights advocacy.

The Batuan-Cadinglian National High School (BatCadNHS) Human Rights Club Officers proudly participated in the 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐧'𝐬 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡 𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 with the theme “𝘉𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘬 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘗𝘳𝘦𝘷𝘢𝘭𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦, 𝘌𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘝𝘪𝘰𝘭𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦: 𝘗𝘳𝘰𝘵𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘊𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥𝘳𝘦𝘯, 𝘊𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢 𝘚𝘢𝘧𝘦 𝘗𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘱𝘱𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘴”. The event, held today, 𝐍𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟐𝟐, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒, at 𝐂𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐞’𝐬 𝐂𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐏𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐇𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞, featured the 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐧’𝐬 𝐑𝐞𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 delivered by the 𝐌𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐥 𝐌𝐚𝐲𝐨𝐫, 𝐇𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐒𝐨𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐨 𝐅𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧.

This meaningful celebration underscored the importance of safeguarding children’s rights and fostering a safe, nurturing environment for all Filipino youth. The BatCadNHS officers actively engaged in the discussions and activities, further strengthening their advocacy for child protection and welfare.

The Batuan-Cadinglian National High School (BatCadNHS) Human Rights Club Officers actively participated in the 2-𝘿𝙖𝙮 𝘾𝙖𝙥𝙖𝙘𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝘽𝙪𝙞𝙡𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝘿𝙞𝙨𝙖𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙋𝙧𝙚𝙥𝙖𝙧𝙚𝙙𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝙏𝙧𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 organized by the Oton Human Rights Club, in collaboration with the Oton LGU, held at the picturesque 𝙎𝙤𝙡𝙮𝙈𝙖𝙧 𝙁𝙖𝙢𝙞𝙡𝙮 𝘽𝙚𝙖𝙘𝙝 𝙍𝙚𝙨𝙤𝙧𝙩 on 𝙉𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙢𝙗𝙚𝙧 19-20, 2024.

This transformative event provided our student leaders with invaluable knowledge and skills on disaster preparedness, risk reduction, and the integration of human rights principles in community response efforts. The interactive sessions, workshops, and team activities allowed the participants to gain practical insights and strengthen their commitment to human rights advocacy.

We extend our sincerest gratitude to 𝙈𝙧𝙨. 𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙖 𝙇𝙮𝙣𝙣 𝙋𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙦𝙪𝙚, our school's Officer-in-Charge, for her unwavering support in empowering our students to take part in meaningful initiatives.
