The Municipality of Oton officially presented the O-TOWN Boy and Girl Officials as part of the celebration of Linggo ng Kabataan and International Youth Day, carrying the theme โ€œDifferent Context, Common Aspirations.โ€ The activity brought together young leaders from different schools in Oton, providing them with an opportunity to experience public service and learn more about local governance.

The presentation was graced by Vice Mayor Jose Niel P. Olivares, who delivered a warm and inspiring message to the participating youth. Also present were Sangguniang Bayan Members Hon. Dell C. Hosillos and Hon. Lorna Geonigo, SKMF President Hon. Hyacinth C. Gardose, Municipal Administrator Ma. Diadema T. Vigo, along with the municipal staff of Oton.

The young officials also took part in an office visitation across various departments of the Municipality of Oton, gaining a better understanding of how each office contributes to public service. They were also warmly welcomed by Municipal Mayor Hon. Sofronio L. Fusin Jr., who shared insights on leadership and the responsibilities of serving the community. The visit gave the young officials a meaningful opportunity to learn directly from local government leaders and appreciate the value of dedicated public service.

Through this meaningful experience, the O-TOWN Boy and Girl Officials were given a glimpse of public service while being encouraged to develop leadership, responsibility, and a deeper understanding of their role as young partners in community development.

The Sta. Rita National High School Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SSLG), together with the Youth for Environment in Schools-Organization (YES-O) and the Boy Scouts of the Philippines (BSP), participated in the LYDC Tree-Planting Activity held on July 25, 2026.

The activity was attended under the guidance of Ma'am Ida B. Celeste, SSLG Adviser, with the support and supervision of Dr.Arleen Moncera , School Principal II. Representatives from various barangays and school-based organizations also took part in the event.

Organized by the Local Youth Development Office (LYDO) of Oton, headed by Mr. Aladin Fancubilla, the tree-planting activity aimed to promote environmental conservation and encourage young people to work together in creating a greener and more sustainable future.
