This March, the Guidance and Counseling Services joins the nation in honoring the incredible strength, resilience, and brilliance of women everywhere.

As your Guidance and Counseling family, we recognize that "empowerment" isn't just a buzzwordβ€”it’s about mental well-being, self-advocacy, and the courage to take up space. Whether you are a student, a professional, a mother, or a friend, your voice matters and your journey is valid.

✨ How to Honor Yourself This Month:
Practice Self-Compassion: Give yourself the same grace you so freely give to others.

Set Boundaries: Protecting your peace is a powerful act of self-love.

Celebrate Small Wins: You don’t have to shatter a glass ceiling every day; sometimes, simply showing up is enough.

Support Your Sisters: Lift others as you climb. A kind word can be the fuel someone needs to keep going.

🌿 We Are Here For You
Growth often comes with challenges. If you’re feeling overwhelmed or just need a safe space to be heard, our doors are always open. Empowered women empower womenβ€”but even the strongest among us deserve a support system.

πŸŽ“ Trailblazers, this is your soft launch into the real world.

Before we sign your Application for Graduation Clearance (yes we are one of the offices required to sign it) , the Career Center asks you to complete a few career-building essentialsβ€”not just for clearance, but for your next chapter after USTP.
βœ… Graduands Survey 2026 – help us support you better
βœ… SeemeSol Profile (100% complete) – be visible to employers
βœ… LinkedIn Account – start building your professional brand

These steps allow us to:
✨ Track graduate outcomes
✨ Improve career services
✨ Connect you to opportunities beyond graduation

Think of this as your career readiness checklist, not just a requirement.
Let’s make sure you don’t just graduate but you launch. πŸš€

We just entered 2026, and you’re probably already feeling tired, telling yourself you’ll β€œdo better” this year, even though you’re already exhausted. 😞
Every January, we’re used to setting big, drastic goals: promises of β€œnew me,” new habits, and big changes. But when you’ve been running on empty, those goals feel so far away, like they were never meant for someone like you.
If big resolutions feel too much right now, that’s okay. You’re not behind, and you’re not lazy. You’re not failing at life. Sometimes, the bravest goals are the gentle onesβ€” the ones that help you breathe a little easier and feel more like yourself again.
You’ve already spent so many days just pushing through. So if 2026 feels less like a β€œfresh start” and more like a quiet hope to just feel okay again, that’s valid, and we see you.
This year can be about allowing yourself moments of ease without guilt. You are allowed to want rest. You are allowed to choose softness. You are allowed to take care of yourself without explaining or justifying it.
Let 2026 meet you where you are. You don’t need to be β€œmore.” You just need to be supported, seen, and reminded that even the quiet goalsβ€” the ones no one else seesβ€” still matter. And so do you. 🫢

The University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines (USTP) strongly stands in solidarity and power with the Philippine Commission on Women in rallying this year’s 18-day campaign to End Violence Against Women.

Violence Against Women (VAW) is a public crime; no woman should be left harmed and unprotected, as mandated by the Republic Act (RA) No. 10398 - an act declaring November 25 - December 12 of every year as the National Consciousness Day for Eliminating VAWC.

In observance of the United Nations (UN) campaign on Violence Against Women and Children for 2025, we stand in support of this global call for safety and protection.

USTP upholds the theme β€œUNiTE by 2030 to End Violence Against Women.” In today’s digital world, women and girls are increasingly exposed to online violence, with many perpetrators remaining unaccountable.

This is our call to defend and uphold the rights of women online.

πŸ‡΅πŸ‡ 2025 Drug Abuse Prevention and Control (DAPC) Week
πŸ“… November 16–22, 2025

Every November, the Philippines stands united in compassion and action against substance abuse. This year’s DAPC Week carries the theme:
✨ β€œSa Bagong Pilipinas, Kalusugan ay Pinapahalagahan, Droga ay Inaayawan.”

A reminder that true nation-building begins with a healthy, drug-free, and compassionate community. Let us choose wellness over addiction, care over neglect, and hope over despair. πŸ’™

Together, let’s support a whole-of-nation, health-centered, and rights-based approach to drug prevention.

Because in a Bagong Pilipinas, every Filipino’s well-being matters. πŸŒΏπŸ‡΅πŸ‡
