We are actively gathering essentials to support immediate survival and recovery needs:
• Immediate Food & Water: Ready-to-eat meals, easy-open canned goods, biscuits, and bottled water. (Since families currently lack cooking tools, ready-to-eat options are highly prioritized).
• Comfort & Clothing: Clean clothes, new undergarments, blankets, pillows, and sleeping mats (banig).
• Hygiene & Storage: Basic hygiene kits, toiletries, and large plastic storage bins/crates to keep their clothes and donations safe and dry at the evacuation site.

EVSU Campus — You may leave your donations at the Guard House or bring them directly to the CRCY Office (beside the Old Administration Building).

𝗘𝗩𝗦𝗨-𝗢𝗖 𝗖𝗥𝗖𝗬 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗗𝗨𝗖𝗧𝗦 𝗜𝗡𝗔𝗨𝗚𝗨𝗥𝗔𝗟 𝗢𝗙𝗙-𝗖𝗔𝗠𝗣𝗨𝗦 𝗗𝗘𝗣𝗟𝗢𝗬𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧

The Eastern Visayas State University – Ormoc City College Red Cross Youth (EVSU-OC CRCY) officially marked a historic milestone as it conducted its first off-campus deployment from March 14 to 16, 2026.

Our volunteers served as the 𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁-𝗮𝗶𝗱 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗯𝘆 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺 for the 3×3 March Madness Basketball Tournament, held at the Brgy. Can-adieng Covered Court. In collaboration with Mind & Sole, our council members were on the ground to ensure the safety of the athletes, organizers, and spectators throughout the three-day event.

This mission signifies a major step in our commitment to extending humanitarian service beyond the university gates. We remain dedicated to our role as a vital community partner, ready to serve and protect whenever the need arises.

On February 1, 2026, the Eastern Visayas State University-Ormoc Campus College Red Cross Youth successfully conducted an enlightening 𝘐𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘯𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘏𝘶𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘢𝘳𝘪𝘢𝘯 𝘓𝘢𝘸 (𝘐𝘏𝘓) 𝘚𝘦𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘳 at the Eastern Visayas State University - Ormoc City Campus. The activity gathered passionate volunteers committed to deepening their understanding of humanitarian principles and responsible service. The program aimed to strengthen awareness of IHL and reinforce the proper use and protection of the Red Cross emblem, especially in times of armed conflict and emergencies.

The event formally opened with inspiring remarks from Mr. Bernie Palacio, LPT, the EVSU-OC CRCY Coordinator. He emphasized the significance of understanding and applying International Humanitarian Law in our roles as youth volunteers, reminding everyone: "𝘛𝘳𝘶𝘦 𝘴𝘦𝘳𝘷𝘪𝘤𝘦 𝘨𝘰𝘦𝘴 𝘣𝘦𝘺𝘰𝘯𝘥 𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘪𝘱𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯. 𝘐𝘵 𝘳𝘦𝘲𝘶𝘪𝘳𝘦𝘴 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸𝘭𝘦𝘥𝘨𝘦, 𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘱𝘰𝘯𝘴𝘪𝘣𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘺, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘢 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘪𝘵𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘶𝘱𝘩𝘰𝘭𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘱𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘤𝘪𝘱𝘭𝘦𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘙𝘦𝘥 𝘊𝘳𝘰𝘴𝘴 𝘔𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘪𝘯 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘸𝘦 𝘵𝘢𝘬𝘦."

Following the engaging discussions and interactive learning sessions, the organization proceeded with the 𝘗𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘈𝘤𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘱𝘭𝘪𝘴𝘩𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘙𝘦𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘍𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘭 𝘚𝘵𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘴 to ensure transparency and accountability among its members. In addition, the 𝘊𝘢𝘭𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘢𝘳 𝘰𝘧 𝘈𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘦𝘴 for the upcoming month was presented, highlighting key events and initiatives to keep CRCY members informed, prepared, and actively involved.

Together, we continue to lead with integrity, transparency, and a heart for humanitarian service.
