Before anything else, we want to extend our heartfelt congratulations to all the brave souls who stepped up and took our recent scholarship applications! Taking that leap takes courage, and your drive to pursue your education is highly commendable.

To all applicants who wish to retrieve their submitted documents, please take note of the following important details:

Venue: City Budget Office – Education and Scholarship Office
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Office Hours)
Period: Within two (2) weeks starting today.

Note: We highly encourage you to claim your documents as soon as possible. Please be advised that the office reserves the right to dispose of all unclaimed papers after the 2-week timeframe to maintain confidentiality.

The Ormoc City Scholarship Board has officially approved the list of 220 New LGU Scholars for the upcoming Academic Year 2026–2027!

Pursuant to the recently adopted Board Resolution No. 15, 2026, the official list of qualifiers is now available.

𝗡𝗲𝘅𝘁 𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽:
All qualified applicants are 𝐑𝐄𝐐𝐔𝐈𝐑𝐄𝐃 to visit the City Budget Office - Education and Scholarship Office within three (3) weeks from Monday to sign your official Letter of Acceptance. Please make sure to drop by promptly to secure your scholarship slot!

𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 & 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲:
As several universities have yet to release their official admission results, this initial list does not include your preferred courses and final school assignments. This is to ensure absolute accuracy in our records. Please note that courses shall also be based on the quota as approved by the Board.

The Secretariat will finalize and update your school and course details upon your slot confirmation and verification of quota slots.

For applicants who were unable to qualify for the scholarship, a separate schedule will be announced for the retrieval/claiming of your submitted documents.

𝙂𝙧𝙤𝙬𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙤𝙜𝙚𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧, 𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙨𝙚𝙚𝙙𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙖𝙩 𝙖 𝙩𝙞𝙢𝙚. 🌿✨

Instead of a typical party, our 35 January birthday celebrants and 19 graduating LGU scholars spent their weekend giving back to the earth. Last January 25, we headed up to Brgy. Cabintan to plant trees for tomorrow, leaving a living legacy for Ormoc City.

For us, this is more than just fulfilling a requirement under RA 10176 (Arbor Day Act of 2012) and CMO Office Order No. 2025-222; it’s our way of taking a real stand for SDG 13 (Climate Action) and SDG 15 (Life on Land).

This meaningful day was made possible through the unwavering support of LGU Ormoc, headed by Hon. Mayor Lucy Torres-Gomez, the 17th Sangguniang Panlungsod, and Dr. Edmund Kierulf (Chairperson, Committee on Education and Manpower Development).

Our deepest gratitude also goes to the City Budget Office - Education and Scholarship Office, OCASA, and ENRO for making this initiative possible!
