12 May 2026. SLRC Ormoc Welcomes CHED-RO8 Monitoring Team for Institutional Visit

San Lorenzo Ruiz College of Ormoc, Inc. (SLRCO) welcomed the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Monitoring Team on May 12, 2026, for an institutional monitoring visit aimed at evaluating the school’s compliance, operational status, and ongoing commitment to quality healthcare education.

The CHED Monitoring Team was lead by Dr. Catherine O. Iglesias, Supervising Education Program Specialist, together with Education Supervisors Mr. Narciso C. Candiza, Mr. Jan Paolo K. Vega, and Mr. Kim O. Operario.

SLRCO was represented by the key administrators and academic leaders headed by OIC School Administrator Mrs. Maria Josefina L. Herrera, including Dr. Robel L. Sardan, RN, dean of the College of Nursing; Dr. Maria Maichol P. Ababan, RPh, dean of the College of Pharmacy; and Mrs. Paz R. Baculi, RMT, dean of the College of Medical Laboratory Science; and, other institutional heads of office.

The visit served as an opportunity for CHED to monitor and assess the institution’s academic programs, facilities, student services, and overall institutional operations in accordance with the national standards for higher education.

The SLRCO administration expressed appreciation for the insights and recommendations provided by the CHED Monitoring Team, emphasizing that the activity was both productive and meaningful in guiding the institution toward continuous development and excellence in healthcare education.

SLRCO remains steadfast in its mission of providing quality, student-centered, and globally responsive healthcare education for future professionals and community leaders.
