Dear ICan Parents and Guardians,
Good morning.
We recognize the fear and concern that many parents, students, and staff are feeling in light of the recent violent incidents that have occurred in schools in different parts of the country.
Please know that we share your concern. The safety and security of every member of our school community remain our foremost priority, and we are actively enhancing our security measures and emergency preparedness to help ensure a safe learning environment for all.
The trust you place in us is something we value deeply, and we remain committed to providing an environment where every child can learn safely and confidently.
While no school can promise that emergencies will never occur, we can assure you that we are vigilant.
In addition, we recognize the importance of our students’ emotional well-being. Our teachers are prepared to provide reassurance and age-appropriate support to students who may feel anxious or unsettled by recent events.
Lastly, school safety is a shared responsibility. We ask for your partnership by attending the meetings we have scheduled to discuss safety issues, by reminding your children to report anything that makes them feel unsafe, to follow school safety procedures, and to treat one another with respect and kindness.
