The Salvacion National High School (SNHS) community continues to grow as the faculty, staff, and administration warmly welcome their newest Technology and Livelihood Education (TLE) teacher, Mrs. Christene M. Ubay.

Mrs. Ubay officially joins the SNHS team following her successful transfer from Pedro G. Bañez National High School. Her extensive background and practical experience in TLE bring valuable expertise and fresh energy to the school’s vocational and technical education programs.

The entire SNHS family expresses its excitement for Mrs. Ubay’s arrival, looking forward to the inspiration and hands-on skills she will share with her new students in the coming school year.

As part of their In-Service Training (INSET) for the upcoming academic year, the teaching staff of Salvacion National High School (SNHS) began attending a three-day virtual orientation titled "ILAW in ACTION: Design and Deliver Effective Lesson through Explicit Instruction" today, running from September 10 to 12, 2026.

Organized by the Department of Education (DepEd) in collaboration with the Gokongwei Brothers Foundation (GBF), the webinar series aims to equip educators with enhanced pedagogical strategies, focusing on clear lesson delivery and structured teaching methodologies under DepEd's latest frameworks.

The opening day featured high-level discussions led by key education experts. Dir. Gerson Abesamis, M.Ed., Director IV of the DepEd Bureau of Learning Delivery, opened the sessions by examining "Understanding the ILAW Framework and Its Role in Effective Teaching," where he highlighted the core principles of the framework and its seamless integration into contemporary lesson planning. Following this, Christine Joy Asas, Education Innovation Manager at the Gokongwei Brothers Foundation, facilitated a session on "Using Explicit Instruction within ILAW Lesson Planning Framework," offering educators actionable insights and strategies for applying explicit teaching techniques to enhance daily classroom delivery.

The three-day training program is expected to continue through September 12, providing the faculty with practical outputs and instructional toolkits designed to elevate student learning outcomes.

Students and faculty members of Salvacion National High School (SNHS) received a fresh collection of learning resources earlier this morning, following a generous book donation aimed at enriching the school’s academic materials.

The donation includes three distinct titles: The Dinosaurs Unleashed, Truth Be Told: Exposing the Myth of Evolution, and the Defending the Faith Bible.

Faculty member Mrs. Aileen Parrilla officially accepted the books on behalf of the SNHS administration and teaching staff.

The added reading materials are expected to offer students supplementary perspectives, strengthening both their general reading engagement and conceptual understanding across various subjects.

The administration, teaching personnel, and student body of SNHS express their heartfelt gratitude to the anonymous benefactors for their support and dedication to enhancing student learning opportunities through literature.

𝗟𝗘𝗧 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗕𝗔𝗧𝗧𝗟𝗘 𝗕𝗘𝗚𝗜𝗡! 🏆🔥

The highly anticipated PAKUSGANAY School Siglaro 2026 officially kicked off today, August 21, 2026, at the Salvacion NHS Grounds and Gymnasium under the theme "Building Character Beyond the Game." The morning began with a vibrant parade from the Barangay Gymnasium, spearheaded by the BSP Senior Scouts, followed by the grand entry of competing factions—Apex Olympus-Griffin, Iron Citadel-Minotaur, and Tidal Realm-Leviathan—alongside tournament managers, faculty, and staff.

The Opening Program commenced with ceremonial protocols, including the National Anthem led by Marycon Arcala, the City Hymn by Marlou Lonzaga, and the Division Hymn by Rhynelyn Lahoylahoy. School Head Leona G. De La Cruz warmly welcomed attendees before the faction escorts and muses raised their banners. SK Chairperson Hon. Fernando P. Laride then delivered an inspiring message on sportsmanship, leadership, and unity.

Energy soared as Ma'am Jasmine P. Ugdamina presented the factions to roaring cheers. The ceremonial Friendship Torch was lit by Basketball MVP Laurence Bonsilao and Paragames-Pal.Pam. athlete John Reyl Diano, followed by the Oath of Amateurism led by Arnis qualifier Avril Fabroa and the Oath of Officiating Officials led by Sports Coordinator Argen B. Porcare. After the presentation of the Mr. & Ms. Siglaro '26 candidates, School Head Leona G. De La Cruz officially declared the games open, igniting the crowd for the Cheerdance Competition!

In continuous pursuit of academic excellence and digital literacy, Salvacion National High School, through the Mathematics Department, successfully administered the Test of Fundamental Academic Skills (TOFAS) to Grade 7 through Grade 10 students on August 19, 2026.

TOFAS is an international online assessment developed by SPRIX that evaluates students' core foundational skills—particularly in calculation and problem-solving. By measuring accuracy and speed, it provides detailed feedback to help teachers identify learning gaps, strengthen basic mathematical competencies, and align student performance with global standards.

The whole-day activity was made possible through the technical guidance of ICT Coordinator, Mrs. Rhynylyn Lahoylahoy, who facilitated the seamless utilization of the DepEd Computerization Program (DCP) laptops. The initiative was conducted under the leadership and full support of School Principal, Mrs. Leona G. De La Cruz, ensuring a structured and conducive testing environment for all participants.

By integrating technology with standardized assessment tools, Salvacion NHS remains committed to evaluating student learning effectively and nurturing globally competitive learners.

The dedicated educators of Salvacion National High School extend their heartfelt gratitude to the Department of Education (DepEd) for the generous distribution of voice amplifier lapels. This vital initiative equips our teachers with the proper tools to enhance classroom instruction, ensure clear voice projection, and foster a more engaging and accessible learning environment for every student.

A total of 22 lapels have been successfully turned over to the SNHS faculty members, marking another step forward in supporting our frontliners in education. Through continuous provision of essential teaching aids, DepEd reinforces its commitment to uplifting teacher welfare and driving quality education for all.
