The Littera - ACLC English Club

Reading transcends class, race, age, and gender. It’s a free magic carpet ride to anywhere on Earth (or beyond), at any point in time. Every child, regardless of age or ability, deserves to be able to access the written word. This is the mission and vision that the official English club of ACLC Ormoc, The Littera, felt called to do today.

Embodying its theme for this year's English Month celebration: Reliving the past and embracing the future of Philippine Literature, the club conducted a reading drive at Hayag Receiving and Child Caring Home, Cogon, Ormoc City where 4 children participated in the drive.

As the literary genius, G*t Jose Rizal once said, "The youth is the hope of our future." The Littera seeks to develop a lifelong love of literature and genuine adoration for the power of prose among learners of all kinds. After all, reading is the most effective way of acquiring knowledge as it widens our understanding of the world.
