🔥 Emergency Appeal: Help Brgy. Cogon Ormoc City Fire Victims Rebuild Their Lives 🔥

The recent fire in Brgy. Cogon Ormoc City, Porok Chrysanthemum has left it's resident devasted and in dire need of help. Because of this, the CKI ( Circle Kiwanis International ) SLRC chapter is opening a donation drive to help and provide immediate relief and support to those affected.

In a heartfelt endeavor to extend compassion and care, the CKI joins the SLRC in the recent medical mission held on February 8, 2024, at brgy. Bagong buhay, Ormoc City Leyte. The team bringing medical expertise, supplies, and compassion were from the College of Nursing, College of Medtech, and the College of Pharmacy. The purpose of the medical mission was to address the community's healthcare needs. A variety of services were also offered, from general checkups to proper hygiene convention as well as feeding programs, which was led by the Senior Highschool Department.

For many residents, healthcare is a luxury they can not afford, and the recently conculded medical mission was a beacon of hope that brought relief and smiles on their faces.
Truly, it's efforts like these that remind us of the profound impacts we can make through humanitarian efforts.

A quote which reminds us that even though we experienced unexpected struggles in life we should always remember there's someone who's willing to reach their hand to help.

CKI-SLRC, in collaboration with the SLRC Supreme Student Government, held a donation drive on June 27, 2023 for the 73 households affected by the Tzu Chi Transitional Housing Village fire incident at Cambantog, Brgy Lake Danao Ormoc City, Leyte. It was heartwarming to help in small ways and bring smiles to their faces. We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who helped to make this donation drive a success.

With the Coordination of CKI-SLRC, they held their first activity by participating in the brigada eskwela that was held on August 06, 2022 at Ormoc City Central School (OCCS) in collaboration with KC-West Leyte Ormoc and Ormoc Phil.
