Find Your Fair: SPCians at Club Fair 2026

As the afternoon settled in on the 19th June, 2026, the Higher Education Department (HED) AVR of St. Peter's College of Ormoc, Inc. (SPCO) had already come alive for Club Fair 2026. Banners hung in purpose, booths dressed themselves in color, and students—some curious and searching, while some are certain—filled in one by one, ready or not, to find their fair. The Club Fair had already begun asking its quiet question: "Where do you belong?"

Some students came knowing exactly where they were headed; others let the fair do the talking—moving from booth to booth until something clicked, a booth that felt less like a stop and more like a place worth staying.

The College of Business Administration (CBA), College of Teacher Education (CTE), and College of Accountancy (COA), each staked the verge of the venue, their booths carrying the weight of college pride and the promise of belonging.

Among the co-curricular clubs, the Junior Managers' Association (JMA) and Junior Financial Executives (JFINEX) carried the CBA's banner. The CTE, brought four—the Earth Healers' Club (EHC), Camelot Society, Kapisanang Maka-Filipino (KMF), and Future Elementary Education Guild (FEEG). Now quietly stepping into the fair for the very first time under the COA's wing was the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA), the newest face in a room full of familiar ones—young, eager, and ready to write its own story.

The interest clubs needed no introduction. The Key Publication (TKP), Culture and Arts Organization (CAO), St. Sebastian's Sports Circle (SSSC), Peer Facilitators Club (PFC), St. Peter's Guild (SPG), Circle K International (CKI), and SPC Ormoc College Red Cross Youth Council (SPCO-CRCY) filled their spaces with the kind of energy that makes a passerby stop, look twice, and stay a little longer than planned.

When asked which booth made her feel like she had found her place, first-year Dannah Rose Dela Cruz didn't hesitate—one name came to her mind and said it quickly. "I think CKI was the club where I felt like I belonged the most," she shared. "Since I want to become a teacher in the future, I feel like CKI can help me develop skills and values that will be useful for my chosen career."

Lovely Janine Reyes, a second-year student had a different kind of afternoon—one booth wasn't enough. "When I stood at the SSSC and [The] Key Publication tables, talking about my passion for photography and my love [for] sports, I felt an immediate spark—I was like, this is it, this is where I want to be," she said. For Reyes, the fair didn't just point to one direction; it pointed to several—each one a different part of who she already was.

By the end of the day, the booths had spoken for themselves. KMF stood tallest, claiming first place in the Best Booth competition. FEEG and CBA refused to let either one outshine the other, finishing in an unlikely tie for second place. SSSC rounded out the winners in third.

One by one, the booths dismantled and the HED AVR began to quiet down but the question the fair had posed from the start—"Where do you belong?"—was answered as one membership was signed one at a time.

SPCO-HED kick-starts AY 2026–2027 at Academic Kick-Off

ORMOC CITY— The Higher Education Department (HED) of St. Peter's College of Ormoc, Inc. (SPCO) officially held its Academic Kick-Off for Academic Year 2026–2027 on June 19, 2026, gathering students, and faculty at the SPC Gymnasium.

Rev. Msgr. Erlito A. Maraya, the school president, delivered his institutional message, emphasizing the value of distinguishing between objectives and means. He advised the student body to read lessons in advance, attend classes regularly, and take personal responsibility for their education.

"Never be happy with a passing grade," Msgr. Maraya emphasized, urging students to reject a dependency on luck and instead pursue academic excellence through consistent hard work.

The program includes a series of performances by the Culture and Arts Organization (CAO), followed by interactive icebreakers including a 'Kumustahan Session' with a TikTok emotion challenge and 'Bingo Card Challenge' to introduce students across college.

The Academic Kick-Off is an annual institutional tradition of SPCO-HED organized at the beginning of every first semester to welcome the students for the new academic year.
