𝐁𝐒𝐇𝐌 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐬 𝐋𝐢𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐓𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭-𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬

The Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management (BSHM) students conducted a library tour for their first-year students, providing them with an opportunity to become familiar with the library’s facilities, resources, and services.

The activity was led by the BSHM student officers, with assistance from the EVSU-OC Library personnel, who guided the students throughout the tour and introduced them to the various library resources and services available to support their academic needs.

The library tour forms part of the department’s efforts to help incoming students become more familiar with the university’s learning resources and encourage them to maximize the library as a valuable partner in their academic journey.

The Eastern Visayas State University–Ormoc Campus (EVSU-OC) Library personnel actively participated in the kickoff activities for School Year 2026–2027, joining fellow students and faculty members in welcoming the new academic year.

The event brought together the EVSU-OC community in a spirit of unity, enthusiasm, and renewed commitment to another productive and meaningful school year. The presence of personnel from the Ormoc City Police Office also added to the occasion, highlighting the importance of safety and security within the university community.

As the new academic year begins, the EVSU-OC Library looks forward to supporting students, faculty, and staff through quality library services and resources—helping create a vibrant and supportive learning environment for all.

The Library of Eastern Visayas State University–Ormoc Campus (EVSU-OC) took part in the 2026 Midyear Accomplishment Report and Budget Utilization Report held at the EVSU-OC Function Hall.

The activity provided an avenue to present the Library’s accomplishments, ongoing initiatives, and budget utilization for the first half of 2026, reflecting its continued commitment to accountable resource management and quality library services in support of the university community.

𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐇𝐨𝐥𝐝 𝐂𝐮𝐥𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐚𝐭 𝐋𝐢𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐀𝐕𝐑

The Engineering Department students recently held their culminating activity at the Library Audio-Visual Room (AVR), highlighting the facility’s role in fostering academic learning, collaboration, and student engagement.

The Library AVR continues to provide a conducive venue for academic, instructional, and co-curricular activities. Faculty members and student organizations planning to use the facility are encouraged to coordinate with AVR In-Charge Sir Ivan Becamon at the Librarian’s Office. Reservations should be made at least three (3) days before the intended date to ensure availability and proper scheduling.

Despite the summer break and the smaller number of students attending summer classes, the EVSU-Ormoc Library continues to provide quality library services to the EVSU community.

The June Statistical Report reflects the library's continued commitment to supporting the academic and information needs of students, faculty, and staff. Even during the summer term, the library remains open and accessible, offering essential resources and services that contribute to learning, research, and academic success.

The EVSU–Luna Engineering Library has officially released its Statistical Report covering the period from January to May 2026, highlighting library utilization, services, and user engagement within the campus community.

The data were carefully counted, consolidated, and recorded by Mr. Julian Jr. F. Tamelin, Library Staff-in-Charge, under the supervision of Prof. Nena Divina Fevidal, Librarian-in-Charge of the EVSU–Luna Engineering Library. The report was subsequently reviewed and noted by Prof. Romulo Joseph M. Jereza IV, Supervising Librarian.

This statistical report serves as an important tool in assessing library performance, guiding service improvements, and supporting the library's commitment to providing quality information resources and services to its stakeholders.

Through accurate record-keeping and continuous monitoring, the EVSU–Luna Engineering Library remains dedicated to fostering academic excellence and strengthening its support for teaching, learning, and research.

The Eastern Visayas State University – Ormoc City Library
continues to serve as a vital academic hub for the university community, recording a total of 645 library users during the month of May 2026.

Based on the Library Utilization Statistics, 593 students visited and utilized the library's resources and facilities, while 52 faculty members accessed its services for teaching, research, and professional development purposes.

These figures highlight the library's continuing role in supporting learning, research, and information access across the campus. The consistent use of library resources reflects the commitment of the EVSU-OC community to academic excellence and lifelong learning.

The EVSU-Ormoc City Library remains dedicated to providing quality services, relevant resources, and a conducive learning environment for all its users.
