As part of the ongoing AACCUP accreditation survey visit at Eastern Visayas State University (EVSU), Library stakeholders participated in interviews and a library tour led by accreditor Prof. Ronaldo P. Sumait.

The activity included the participation of faculty counterparts Prof. Aneil Pepito from the BSIT Major in Electronics Technology and Prof. Mary Ann Osores from the BSIT Major in Culinary Arts, together with Prof. Cullen Aurora, Faculty Counterpart, and Prof. Romulo Joseph M. Jereza, IV, Librarian Designate.

Student representatives Claire Pepito, a Culinary Arts student, and Charles Jabon, an Electronics Technology student, also took part in the stakeholder interviews, providing insights into their experiences in accessing and utilizing the libraryโ€™s resources and services.

The interviews and library tour highlighted the university libraryโ€™s role in supporting teaching, learning, research, and student development, while providing an opportunity to showcase its facilities, collections, and services in support of quality education.

On September 21, 2026, the opening program of the AACCUP Accreditation Survey Visit was held, marking the beginning of the accreditation activities scheduled from September 21โ€“25, 2026.

The event brought together university administrators, faculty members, staff, and accreditation surveyors as they formally commenced the week-long assessment aimed at reviewing the institutionโ€™s programs, services, and practices in pursuit of continuous quality improvement.

Students of Eastern Visayas State Universityโ€“Ormoc Campus (EVSU-Ormoc) actively utilized the libraryโ€™s services and collections as part of the campus observance of International Literacy Day.

The Luna Library and Main Library of Eastern Visayas State University conducted a joint inventory of books and ICT equipment to ensure accurate records, proper monitoring, and effective management of library resources.

The inventory was carried out with the assistance of Sir Jan Paredes EVSU-OC supply officer, together with the dedicated library personnel who worked collaboratively to verify, organize, and document the libraryโ€™s collections and equipment.

This initiative reflects the libraryโ€™s continued commitment to accountability, resource management, and quality library services for the university community.

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Conference continued on its second day on August 28, 2026, with the EVSU Library Audio-Visual Room (AVR) once again serving as the venue for the gathering.
