Big congratulations to these five ProbSETters who demonstrated mathematical curiosity in solving the Problem of the Week for Recreational Math! 👏🎉

Their solutions showed determination, curiosity, inductive reasoning, and mathematical maturity. You can scan the QR codes for their solutions, not only to the PoTW but also to the other homework problems as well.

ProbSET 4.0 continues! 🧮✨

On August 29, our ProbSET kids returned for their second session of Recreational Mathematics, led by Dr. Errol Garcia and Dr. Lester Hao.

Building on their first session, the students took on new mathematical challenges that encouraged them to think creatively and sharpen their problem-solving skills. 🧠✏️

With this, the journey continues, with more challenges and discoveries still to come! 🧠🔥

It's Thursday, and that means it's time for a throwback!

We look back at the immense ProbSET 3.0 that ran from March 14, 2025 to January 10, 2026, from the launch to the Palaro.

We brought ProbSET to more teachers.

We brought more teachers to the Ateneo. 🧑‍🏫

We brought ProbSET to more kids. ✍️

And we brought it around the nation. 🇵🇭

We are proud of the thousands of ProbSETters around the nation, all united in the belief that problem solving now, nation building tomorrow.

And for ProbSET 4.0? It's only gonna get better. 🫡

And just like that, ProbSET 4.0 has begun! ✏️🔥

ProbSET 4.0 kicked things off with inspiring messages from Fr. Ben Nebres and Dr. Richard Eden, followed by their first session on Recreational Mathematics led by Mr. Scott Lee-Chua.

In their first session, our ProbSET kids displayed more than just problem-solving skills. They showed curiosity, enthusiasm, and most importantly, a willingness to learn as they took on new challenges in mathematics. 🧮✨

The next session will be this August 29! Here's to more productive sessions ahead! 🧠

ProbSET stands in solidarity with our partner, Ateneo de Zamboanga University, in this trying time. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families and the communities affected.

OFFICIAL STATEMENT

The Ateneo de Zamboanga University is saddened by the incident that happened today on our JHS campus.

As of now, we confirm that there are 2 fatalities. As for other information, we are coordinating with authorities for the full report with full details to be provided as soon as possible.

The safety of our students is our top priority. We have already coordinated with parents and guardians to pick up their children and the university has ensured the safety of those remaining on campus.

We have set up official communication channels and will relay these information to the public as soon as possible. We urge the public to refrain from sharing unverified info, photos, and videos as these will only bring further harm to those involved and may hinder the ongoing investigation of the incident.

In the meantime, we ask everyone to respect the privacy of all affected individuals.

We pray for the quick resolution of the situation and for the safety of all. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

ProbSET 4.0 will officially begin this Saturday, August 15, online at Zoom and livestreamed around the nation via PS4.0's Facebook group.

It will feature a throwback on ProbSET 3.0 and messages from Fr Ben Nebres and Dr Richard Eden.

After that, the first session on Recreational Math will be done, handled by Scott Lee Chua.

The program will start at 8:15 am and the session with Mr Lee Chua will start at 9:00. Check your inboxes for the Zoom link, and check out the FB group for more updates!
