𝕸𝖆𝖌𝖓𝖎𝖋𝖎𝖈𝖆 𝕳𝖚𝖒𝖆𝖓𝖎𝖙𝖆𝖘 ||
𝑇ℎ𝑒 𝑟𝑒𝑠 𝑛𝑜𝑣𝑎𝑒 𝑜𝑓 𝑜𝑢𝑟 𝑡𝑖𝑚𝑒: In this passage, Pope Leo XIV reminds us that technology is not inherently harmful; rather, it is a valuable tool that has improved human life throughout history. However, he warns that the rapid development of digitalization, artificial intelligence, and robotics presents new ethical challenges because these technologies now have an unprecedented influence on how people think, make decisions, and interact with society. 𝕸𝖆𝖌𝖓𝖎𝖋𝖎𝖈𝖆 𝕳𝖚𝖒𝖆𝖓𝖎𝖙𝖆𝖘 (Magnificent Humanity) is the guiding vision of 𝐏𝐨𝐩𝐞 𝐋𝐞𝐨 𝐗𝐈𝐕’s reflections on artificial intelligence and the ethical challenges of modern technology. It emphasizes the God-given dignity, creativity, freedom, and moral responsibility of every human person. While technologies such as artificial intelligence, robotics, and digitalization offer immense opportunities for progress, they must always remain at the service of humanity and the common good, rather than replace or diminish the dignity of the human person.

The vision is founded on several key principles. First, 𝗵𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗱𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗶𝘀 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲, as every person possesses inherent worth because they are created in the image and likeness of God. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗶𝗼𝗰𝗲𝘀𝗮𝗻 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗽𝘂𝘀 - 𝗝𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝗥𝗶𝘇𝗮𝗹 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝘁𝗲 (𝗢𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗻) is grateful to announce the launch of a 𝙧𝙚𝙛𝙡𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙨𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙨 on the first Encyclical Letter of His Holiness, 𝐏𝐨𝐩𝐞 𝐋𝐞𝐨 𝐗𝐈𝐕, 𝑀𝑎𝑔𝑛𝑖𝑓𝑖𝑐𝑎 𝐻𝑢𝑚𝑎𝑛𝑖𝑡𝑎𝑠 (Magnificent Humanity). In a time when artificial intelligence is rapidly transforming the way we live, learn, and communicate, this initiative seeks to help everyone better understand the Holy Father’s message on the proper place of technology in human life. Through these reflections, we hope to inspire responsible and ethical use of artificial intelligence while always recognizing that human dignity, wisdom, and compassion must remain at the heart of every technological advancement. 💻
