By transforming the surplus of formal institutions into the essential tools of community learning centers, we create a seamless educational bridge. The tragic death of Dexter Ador Lalosa, a 17-year-old student from Bantayan CLC and a resident of Barangay Mabuhay, on September 7, 2025, in Tawagan, is a heartbreaking reminder of the devastating consequences of bullying. Dexter had a dream, a future he was actively building through his studies with the Alternative Learning System, a program designed to give young people like him a second chance. On that day, all of that hope and potential were senselessly taken from him.

We must stand together and condemn this act of violence. Bullying is a scourge that festers in the shadows, fueled by indifference and silence. Dexter was a son, a friend, a person with a story that deserved to be told in full. His memory now carries the heavy weight of a life unjustly cut short.

​Let us honor Dexter's memory not just with sadness, but with action. We must create a community where kindness is not just an ideal, but a shield against cruelty, and where every dream, no matter how big or small, is protected and nurtured. May Dexter's soul find eternal peace, and may his story be a catalyst for change.

From tides to triumph, from casting nets to catching diploma. I came, I learned, I conquered! 🎓💪

I started my academic journey, full of doubts and unaware of what to come. It wasn't easy, but, yes, I made it this far. Now, I walked the stage not just as a graduate, but as living proof that even a fisherman myself can rise above the tides. This triumph, of course, won't be possible kun waray an supporta han mga tawo nga naging kabakyang ko.
