The applause filled the venue as names were called one after another. Proud students stepped forward, their faces reflecting a mixture of excitement, gratitude, and accomplishment. For some, the moment marked the culmination of countless hours of studying, sleepless nights, and sacrifices. For others, it was a reminder that every small effort can lead to something worth celebrating.
On September 18, 2026, the Bataan Peninsula State University โ Orani Campus conducted the OC Recognition Rites โPunyagi 2026,โ carrying the theme โPagpapahalaga sa Dunong at Dangal ng mga Batang Peninsulares.โ
The ceremony gathered students, faculty members, and members of the university community to honor the academic achievements and perseverance of the campusโs deserving learners. More than an awarding ceremony, Punyagi 2026 became a celebration of the determination and commitment that brought every awardee to the stage.
The occasion was graced by Hon. Antonio โJonโ Arizapa Jr., Municipal Mayor of Orani, who was represented by Mr. Nasir Ocampo, Consultant to the Mayor. His presence underscored the importance of recognizing and supporting the achievements of young learners who continue to contribute to the community.
Also present was BPSU President Dr. Ruby B. Santos-Matibag, whose presence added significance to the celebration. In her message, she highlighted the continuing accomplishments of the Orani Campus, particularly its contribution to producing competent and dedicated future educators.
Among the achievements highlighted was the campusโs strong performance in the Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET), reflecting the dedication of its students and graduates, as well as the commitment of its faculty and the university in preparing future professionals in the field of education.
Behind every certificate and medal is a story of punyagi of perseverance through challenges, determination despite difficulties, and the unwavering support of teachers, families, and the entire BPSU community.
As the ceremony came to a close, the applause may have faded, but the message remained: true achievement is not measured only by the recognition received, but by the character, knowledge, and dignity built along the way.
For the Batang Peninsulares of Orani Campus, Punyagi 2026 was more than a recognition of what they have accomplished. It was a reminder of what they can continue to achieve.
Dunong brings excellence. Dangal gives it purpose. And Punyagi makes it possible.
