The CineMaskom Film Festival Awards Night celebrated its 10th anniversary on March 18, 2026, gathering students, faculty and guests at Columban College, Inc. (CCI) Asinan Campus to recognize the creativity and cinematic achievements of Grade 11 and 12 senior high school students.

The program opened with the introduction of the masters of ceremonies, followed by remarks from Shirley Ann A. Laneza, who spoke on behalf of CASEd Dean Dr. Christine Gil O. Almazan. She said the student films reflected more than academic requirements, highlighting passion, artistic vision and responsible communication.

Intermission performances by the cast of the “75” theater play were staged between award segments, providing live entertainment and sustaining audience engagement throughout the night.

The competition featured entries from Grade 11 and Grade 12 students, with awards recognizing excellence in technical production, acting and overall filmmaking.

In the Grade 11 category, “Ulat at Pitik” emerged as Best Film, earning multiple awards including Best Cinematography, Best Editing, Best Sound Editing, Best Actor (Joseph David Opinion), Best Actress (Jeam Miral) and Best Director (Czarina Akiko P. Reyes). “Lilim ng Dekada” won Best Screenplay and People’s Choice, while “Teorya: Beyond Flashes” secured Best Trailer Edit and third place in Film Poster. “Kisapmata” placed second in Film Poster and also produced Best Supporting Actor Gian Idris C. Borgonia. Audrey Marey Barerra of “Archive X” was named Best Supporting Actress, while “Naparam” won Best in Costume Design.

For Grade 12, “Silakbo” dominated the competition, taking home Best Film and People’s Choice, along with Best Screenplay, Best Actor (Julius Deacon S. Gabriel), Best Actress (Lliane Roxanne M. Aquino), Best Supporting Actress (Ezzeiah Nicole Rivera), and awards for Costume Design and Sound Editing. “2010” earned Best Cinematography, Best Editing, Best Trailer Edit and third place in Film Poster, while Danielle KC Calimbas was named Best Director for the same film. “Kodakan” received Best Film Poster, and “Obra Maestra” placed second in the category. Justin Jade Castillo of “Aninag” was awarded Best Supporting Actor.

In her closing message, Ms. Fatima Clarinda Dela Cruz, chairperson of the BA-COMM program, expressed gratitude to organizers and participants, noting that the event’s success was made possible through collective effort despite limited manpower. She also commended the students’ creativity and encouraged them to continue developing their craft.

The event concluded with the screening of the festival’s winning entries, capping a night that underscored student talent and the continuing growth of the CineMaskom platform.
