HISTORY MADE: Gordon College Sets a New National Standard! THE ONLY ONE IN THE PHILIPPINES!
Gordon College just hit a historic milestone. We are officially the first and only Local College in the country to receive a Certificate of Program Compliance (COPC) for the Master of Arts in Education major in Educational Management (MAEd-EM) issued by the Commission on Higher Education - Office of Programs and Standards Development (CHED-OPSD) and the Commission-En-Banc.
This isn't just a certificate; it is a testament to our commitment to academic excellence.
OUR DEEPEST GRATITUDE To our CHAMPIONS at CHED: to the former CHEDROIII Director and now CHED-OIQAG Director, Dr. Lora L. Yusi, for her unwavering support of GC to move to greater heights, to Dr. Maura Consolacion D. Cristobal, CHEDROIII Director, Dr. Jimmy G. Catanes, OPSD Director, Ms. Tricia Gayle C. The College of Computer Studies, represented by Dean Professor Ronnie Luy, Assistant Dean Ms. Armilyn Martinez, and CCS students, was invited to the official launching of their capstone project, PROJECT METRO, in partnership with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Zambales.
Developed through the collaboration between the College of Computer Studies and DTI Zambales, PROJECT METRO is a technology-driven solution designed to modernize public market operations through digital innovation. The project integrates digital tools into key market processes involving vendors, consumers, and administrators, promoting more efficient transactions, improved data management, enhanced monitoring, and greater accessibility. Through this initiative, technology is utilized to support better service delivery and contribute to the sustainable growth of local enterprises and communities.
The launching of PROJECT METRO marks a significant milestone for the student developers, whose academic work has evolved into a practical solution with real-world application. Its adoption by DTI Zambales reflects the value of student innovation and serves as a testament to the College of Computer Studies' commitment to producing industry-ready graduates capable of creating impactful technologies that support community development and digital transformation.
