Are you ready for an exciting Math challenge?
We’re thrilled to announce this month’s featured activity for the MATHSAYA Fair – the Math Wizards Challenge! This fun and intense competition will give teams the chance to showcase their mathematical expertise and problem-solving skills.
Pre-registration:
1. Each participating team must consist of five members: one learner from each grade level and a non-math teacher.
2. Kindly approach Ma’am Amor Salinas and Ma’am Angela Zapata once you have formed your team. (Note: Only teams with the required number of members will be eligible to participate.)
3. The registration deadline is on January 21, 2025.
Contest Proper:
1. The contest will be held on January 24, 2025 (2:00 PM) at BNHS Conference Room.
2. Teams will compete in three rounds: easy, average, and difficult. Each round will contain five questions
• Easy round: 30 seconds to answer, 1 point per question
• Average round: 60 seconds to answer, 2 points per question
• Difficult round: 90 seconds to answer, 3 points per question
3. All answers will be written on a piece of paper to be provided by Math teachers.
4. The use of calculators and mobile phones is prohibited during the contest.
