❤️English and National Reading Month 2025 Culminating Activity ❤️

New Cabalan Senior High School -Olongapo City concluded its celebration yesterday, November 28, 2025, with activities anchored on the theme “Reading is a Bridge to a Future Full of Hope.” Led by proponent Ma’am Sherilyn B. Lucero, the event highlighted students’ passion for literacy and communication.

Among the key moments were the message of Ma’am Mylene O. Mañago, OIC Assistant School Principal and Reading Ambassador, shared valuable insights on the Sierra Madre, and the Final Debate facilitated by Ma’am Lucero together with the Grade 11 students under the Effective Communication subject. The motion addressed was: “Resolved: That promoting independent reading is more effective than AI-assisted learning in strengthening students’ critical thinking for future success.”

The Wear What You Read showcase, featuring creative portrayals of Filipino Literature, along with the awarding of all November activities, added color and excitement to the celebration.

Sincere thanks to all facilitators, judges, English teachers, school clubs, and the entire NCSHS faculty. Special appreciation to Dr. Erwin A. Bucasas, School Principal II; Ma’am Mylene O. Mañago; and Dr. Susan T. Laxamana, ACAD–Subject Group Head, for their leadership and unwavering support.

Through everyone’s teamwork, the school ended the month-long celebration with meaning and inspiration, reminding us that reading truly shapes minds and futures.

Till next time, NCSHS! 📚💙
